This is a knit timelapse of me knitting a classic v neck sweater from yarn I unravelled from an older sweater. The repurposed yarn is from the Luxe Cashmere hoodie by The Group Babaton. I decided to repurpose it because it felted a bit in the wash.
The pattern used to knit the v neck is my own, and is not available.

Love the sweater and the way you styled it too. Classic sweaters are hard to knit well I think, but once you have cracked the recipe, the fit and wearability is so good and they become wardrobe staples. Like your sweater. This is what I am trying to achieve with my own knitting from now on. Not to rush the project, but to take some time and care to finish things in a way that I am proud of and will wear over and over again

Spit splicing is the thing that impresses me the most in your videos. I just KNOW it would never work if it was me, it would be pulled apart immediately ;)

You can achieve it too! Just make sure it's 100% natural fiber. You can use a natural/acrylic mix too, but it won't splice as well. I find it takes more rubbing to bind the ends. Hope this helps :)

I dont know about anyone else but I enjoy watching you fix things *on* camera. (Also the old sweater unraveling) It gives a better sense of the work you put into it, plus it's nice to watch how you fix mistakes. I like to knit or crochet while watching these, like I have a crafting buddy. I miss the on camera stuff. Your sweater came out amazingly, it does look very professional and it's been fun watching you advance. I've been around a while.

So pretty as always!! I still admire your dedication and patience because good lord, I can't imagine redoing some of these projects as many times as you do! I'm actually working on a similar style sweater right now and I think some of your own issues (namely with the v-neck) may prove helpful when it comes time to pick up and knit the collar. The final product looks very classy and elegant. Congrats on another fantastic piece! :D

I love your videoes. You have inspired me to be more picky with what I accept in my knitting and it has made me a better knitter. I’m currently knitting a sweater which is a merge of yarn from two previous projects which I wasn’t happy with. Much love and appreciation 🩷

I began knitting this in mid Nov, then took a good 2 week break over the holidays which explains why it took so long 😅

@@ToTheKnitPoint i found your videos after I decided to start crochet/ knitting again. I had stopped because it was so expensive to buy quality yarn and felt very wasteful at times with constantly buying yarn. This year though I decided that I would use repurposed yarn from thrift shops and found you while looking into how to unwind them properly and process the yarn. This sweater looks amazing and great care was taken to construct it, so I'm not surprised that you started it in November 💜 I'm excited to see your skills evolve. Much love!
