The rear side windows and the cranks - if they work the cranks are worth something. I seem to remember those little back windows were prone to coming off the tracks. The trim in areas still looks good. I had a '67 notchback that got rear-ended two days after I bought it used. Drove it around for a couple more weeks with the gas tank sticking up vertically.

Reminds me of when I dragged home a 1956 belair convertible, back in 1975, in very simular shape just for a piece of trim and a section of the convertible top rigging. Nothing else was good but those pieces I needed for my convertible.

I think, the 6 cylinder Mustangs were 4 bolt wheels and the V8's had 5 bolt wheels. My Dad retired in 1979 after working for International Paper for almost 20 years. Half that time he was farming also.

Awesome story behind that car of how your not now uncle got it. I've seen videos where they take rusted out Mustangs and acid dip them and then rebuild them. This is not one of them. The good news is you rescued some parts that I'm sure some Mustang restorer needs. Keep it up. I enjoy your adventures with Duff.

I love getting hoarded out cars. I bought a '71 and a '73 VW Fastback from this estate sale of a hoarder when I was buying cars for a junkyard. Both were absolutely stuffed with VW parts for every model from the early 60's to the mid 70's. I bought all of the parts at employee price and sold them on Marketplace. It took about a year, but I paid my rent for a couple of months. I still have a set of Fastback tail lights. I did stuff like that several times. BTW, we got the '73 running, and sold both of them to a guy who planned to restore them. They got saved.

The way I hear it, five lug wheels on early mustangs indicates a V-8 engine from the factory. And four bolt rims were straight sixes. Of course, you can always swap parts, as they’re all interchangeable

I remember when I was a kid bailing hay, we did square bails. I remember the old farmer made us stack it in the barn a certain way so they could finish drying so they wouldn’t catch fire. I thought he was crazy, but I remember one popped open and it was hot as could be inside, like burns you hot. I took him seriously after that and made sure I did what he said. He wanted them stack on end, theory is the moisture would go up through the balls easier then it they are stacked flat like you would want to do naturally. I know it made it a pain to get them back out of the loft kinda. Man I miss those days, so much simpler.

That 8" rear end may be worth money to someone. It is a 2 year only Mustang rear (65-66) and maybe three years in falcon's (64-66) in 67' the 8" didnt have the "neck down" near the drums. I had to search high and low when converting my 6-cyl mustang tonfind a correct 'neck down' 8" to replace the smaller 4 lug rear.

Generally on the smaller cars Ford used 4 bolt wheels on 6 cylinders engines, 5 bolts went with V8's. Mustangs, Falcons and similar sized cars. On the larger cars they used the 5 bolt wheels with all engines. Like the Galaxy and Fairlane.

And picked it up you can see it was holding down hundreds of pounds of down weight.. dead hold it to the ground. I mean it is social media I am a car lover.
