I never got the quick dodging in practically any RE game. It's always how they put it in the manual, too. "Use the joystick as you're being attacked." Gee, really? I usually just get lucky and unintentionally dodge while aiming a weapon.

Well for me (this is just a fan opinion here) but I prefer RE5 over revelations at least you can dodge and pick up key items that are actually there instead of using that silly scanner all the time. I consider it still one of the worst Resident Evil games because it has a weak story with weak drama. Though I did like the bickering between Quint and Keith at times XD. The combat is a mess, dodging is difficult because its just luck except for the final boss side claw attack which I dodge every time for some wierd reason. Also some enemies like Scagdead (fat chainsaw) and the dogs have very unpredictable AI at times. Sometimes the Scagdead can go from a stunned or an attack to his instant kill attack. Some ooze monsters have a 1 frame quick turn attack which is hard to predict because previous RE games had starting animations before grabs or back slash attacks actually hit you. Also explosive damage doesn't hurt you. I fired a rocket launcher at my feet and my character took no damage or stun, same for red barrels to. RE5 had better animation for enemies, better controls and difficulty that even on professional mode when I died it felt like it was my fault. While as in revelations's Inferno and Hell difficulty it wasn't my fault that I got hit when I tried to dodge and revelations is one of the few games that frustrated me to near the extreme because the dodge mechanics are all luck dice based. If capcom balanced the combat better, no scanning items or enemies for hidden items n free health and had better dodge controls then I'd say its pretty good even with a bad story.

Literally just finished the final boss 15 minutes ago. Yahtzee hit the nail on the head with this one. While the sum is greater than its parts with RE:R, there was some missed potential on an overall good game. Partners were useless, the constant character changing, convoluted conspiracy, I HATED being forced to go through doors when there's obviously a hunter through the glass waiting to swipe me on the other side. But unlike most people, I did like Quint and Keith as comic relief. 8/10

Well, the game I want him to review the most is Dynasty Warriors 8 XL, but I'm not getting my hopes high... :D I really don't get how someone can just drop a game in the middle and never come back to it. I've never done that in my life, but that might just be the completionist in me talking. I personally enjoyed and liked all three FF 13 games, the overall story, characters etc. Even more so because FF games are normally disconnected from one another, so the whole 13 felt much more absorbing. But I'd probably make a poor reviewer, because unless the game is unplayable due to technical issues, I'm not really capable of identifying a "bad" game, I tend to get invested quite easily :D
