After some time to reflect on this whole day, the initial shock and disappointment over Trump's election has faded. So now I completely see your point. You only fool yourself if you believe that everything in life is going to be fine and dandy. Yet, you should not live with the expectation of being "knocked down" all the time.

This may be suprising for some americans, but just because your personal focus is on your elections right now doesn't mean that the rest of the world has the same focus. This video has nothing to do with your politics. It has to do with life, hardship and the resilience needed to keep going despite the pain of being alive. Don't try to make it about something it is not about please. There are places to vent all your feelings about the election. But this has nothing to do with it honestly and it feels a bit absurd to connect the two.

First of all waking up to see Donald Trump has won the election, (I'm sorry for the Trump supporters, but I just don't agree with his points of view. No hard feelings), two hours later one of my closest friends tells me she doesn't want to be friends anymore and has blocked me from all media possible and to finish of my day I failed my assessment and only got very little study points. Resilience is a person’s ability to cope with the ups and downs of life. This includes how a person deals with the challenges they might face throughout this human journey. It could include the death of a loved one, a difficult disease, a heartbreak, in essence losing something or someone who is very dear. And this will happen to every single person sooner or later while we are in this temporary material world. Resilience is important for everyone’s mental health but also for their physical, emotional and spiritual health. It’s a life skill that once it is developed will serve us very well until the end of this current human journey. It is thought that the more resilient a person is, the less they experience stress as they are equipped to deal with life’s pressures.

While I agree that kids should be taught to expect adversity and to emotionally prepare themselves for it and to keep a healthy perspective, sometimes suffering IS a sign that something has gone wrong, and when it is they should work to fix it.

I think suffering constantly inflicted by another person is an example of what you mean. But if they are really good at making you suffer, you won't even realize its because of them. You will think its your own fault. But such special monsters are rare in any population, and there is no way to protect yourself from them if they are skilled enough at their "craft" of exploitation and sadism.

Jack McCarthy People imprint the party they support into themself. Their identity becomes "republican" or "democrat". Its a very unhealthy way of living. Yeah! I was just going to come the comments and ask what the last sentence was about. It makes more sense now, but I think its too broad of a statement. Of course people get rejected or have haters when they're on a mission do something worthwhile, but being rejected or having haters doesn't automatically mean you are doing something worthwhile. I'm sure thinking the former softens the blow and is better for an individual's psyche though.

Resilience can sometimes work against you. Being the mind set of "i need to ignore these negitave feelinf because people rely on me" its ok to be vulnerable even if you remain collected on the exterior. We all deserve one person to be 100% emotionally honest with. Thats my drunk wisdom of the wensday

Oh really? Then care to explain why is white culture the only culture which has to bend over and accept a globalist agenda? So far, the trend of immigration in every white nation spells a grim prospect for their culture and kind, but nobody really seems to realize it or accept it, since it's easier to project "minorities" as being self-righteous and deserving of a chance in the richer countries regardless of any factors. Want to know how I know you're a racist? The fact that while you were reading this, you probably thought I was white myself.

Thanks for this. Sometimes we all need to be reminded to stay strong, and that when things sometimes go wrong, it's not necessarily a sign from the universe that life is shit. It's just hard to remember when going through the thick of it. I'll keep watching this as a reminder.

Hi, I feel sick, like there's a black hole in the pit of my stomach and nothing will ever be good again. All the tragedy and terrible ordeals we have yet to go through because of this monster are going to test us to the limit of enduring for years to come. I don't know if I have the fortitude to face it. Thanks.

Hey man, you'll be okay. Just give it time and try to change the scenes of your life. Whatever's caused it can be cut ties with and left behind. Try to pick up a hobby or find a new passion and put all your energy into it. Make drastic changes, nothing is stopping you from doing that. Live a simpler life in a different country, as a suggestion. One of the most important books I've read is Flow by mihaly csikszentmihalyi. Not really related to your situation but it'll answer a LOT of things. Also read The monk who sold his ferrari. Hope this helped! You're not alone :)
