I love the fact that you do not talk throughout the entire video .... some tend to jabber on and on and on and drift all over and it gets very frustrating when you are trying to learn and relax. Thank you :)

You know that pressing mute is an option, right? Pretty messed up that people are kind enough share their talents for your benefit and you complain about how they choose to share.

I know what you mean, I do think less on the flakes next time - I feel like the band of gold /silver is a bit too wide - I like them - these are 5 inch coasters so they are definitely statement pieces

Your work is AMAZING. I love details & you seem to do a great job with that. I’m really new to resin but do you have to let it dry between layers? & if so like fully for 24 hours or just a little bit?

Hi, thank you for the compliment. I let each layer harden (12 to 24 hours) For sanding I wait 24 hours or it isn’t hard enough

How long do you let your resin sit in cups? It looks really thick. I love your work and am trying to duplicate your technique but I’m not sure how thick the resin should be before pouring.

These are beautiful !! After the first layer of black I can never get the colors to show up, the purple, pink and blue. Are those special paints ? My reg acrylic colors don't show up at all. What am I doing wrong ??
@ResinAsYouWish2 жыл бұрын
Hi, the galaxy purple, pink and teal are mica powders - These powders are incredibly vibrant and I have links to them in the video description- all the colors added on the project are put in clear resin layers and are independent of the bottom black layer (I am planning on redoing this project and talking through it)

@haileythuy7433 жыл бұрын
do you have to wait for every layer to dry for at least 12 hours?
@ResinAsYouWish3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have learned through trial and error that if I do the layers too close together in the end the project will have a subtle rippling across the top. The use of the epoxy I use is meant for a counter top in a thin coat. To keep stacking the resin makes it much thicker and layers shift as each one finishes their cure. I am unable to sand resin unless it’s been 24 hours or it gets gummy on the sandpaper, but is hard when you touch it.
