Short Video on how to wire in the Resler Interface. I filmed this back in early December 2019 and got very busy and this content got buried. I am aware that you can now buy a quad-lock adapter which plugs into the harness rather than having to slice it off and solder the cables. However, if you'd like to avoid shelling out more for a cable and like to do a DIY then this video is for you.

@@KhanHS Awesome! I''m actually doing an Xtrons install next weekend into my e39. Your vids have been super helpful to get an idea. In terms of ibus app...are you able to show most of the functions that you'd find are pretty interesting! almost like a walkthrough would be ace.

Great series of videos for installing an android headset, none of the links for the Resler Interface work, I had a similar problem with the links to Resler on Zero to 60 when they installed an Xtron head set to an X5 E53 last December

The resler interface has been discontinued and replaced with the resler module. I'll update the links shortly.

Hello, Im wondering to retrofit a DSP in my E39 (2002) and i think i will fit the quadlock in case i want to upgrade to Xtrons in the future. If i buy the quadlock adapter exl007, will the "Adapter for Resler Module and Resler Interface to Quadlock, New Generation, flat pin" fit? Cheers, Mário

Great video I have e39 '98 with basic stock cassette radio unit without any stuff in the boot. I'm planning to switch it to Xtrons unit however I'm wondering if there will be a wires present to connect ibus dongle. Is there any way to check it before removing radio unit?

You will need to remove the original head unit to see what connection you have round pins or flat etc and then it's down to buying the correct harness adapter for the resler interface (no need to solder anymore) more info on. their website.

Can you plug this into a usb attachment the radio came with if the headunit doesn’t have a usb on the back side of it

It should work in any of the USB ports. I plugged it in the rear as wont need access to it again and it frees up the other ports that I have routed to the glovebox

hey bro...i installed a head unit i bought on aliexpress from china...I get sound for about 30 or 40 seconds...after those 40 seconds the audios cuts off completely..everything continues to work, steering wheel controls, buttons, volume controls....but no sound. I have to turn off the car and start up the engine again and again it workes for 40 seconds the sound..and after the 40 seconds i lose audio again...what can i do?

That's what typically happens when you have DSP. You either need to keep the original head unit in the loop for it to keep the DSP amp awake or you need to invest in a resler interface or resler module. First step is to check to see if you have DSP or not.

@@KhanHS Hi I contacted the seller in china and sent me the factory settings code. I choose "non amplifier" option and get the same, audio for only 40 seconds and then I choose "amplifier yes" and the same issue, 40 seconds audio only. how Do i know that I have DSP. because I have a piece of sound equiptment in my trunk but i am not sure if that piece is DSP. I do have the 6 CD changer and behinde the cd changer, there is a piece of device.

Hi I don't have the resler interface at the moment currently on order. When I put the car in reverse the screen goes blank. Is that normal? Thanks in advance

I’m assuming you don’t have a reverse camera hence it shows a black screen. You can disable this from within the settings. Depends what type of headunit you have. Android 6 Setup → Factory settings (password: 126) → "others" tab → "prohibit reverse" to "disable" → "Apply" → "Exit" Android 8 settings → CAR → factory settings (password: 126) → "others " → "prohibite reverse" to "disable" → "Apply" → "Exit" or Settings → Auto Settings → Factory settings (password: 126) → "others" tab → "prohibite reverse" to "disable" → "Apply" → "Exit"

@@habz705 Is that whilst driving? Does the video play if the handbrake is pulled up? If so there is a setting that allows video in motion.
