If it wasn't for Toriyama, Bleach wouldn't even be a series... You see, before Bleach became a series, Kubo got rejected by Shonen Jump when he put through his first draft of Bleach's concept. Toriyama then wrote Kubo a letter of encouragement and essentially got him to try again, stating he felt the series had potential. So thanks to Toriyama, my favorite anime became an actual series and us Bleach fans owe him a lot... RIP Akira Toriyama, you will be missed 🙏🏼😢🕊️

He also butchered it in combination with the animation company. He never decided to improve as a writer ether which is what the series needed. Was he creative yes. Would dragonball be better without him more than likely yes.

How would Dragon Ball be "better" without the original creator influencing the series anymore? Do you always talk out of your ass? Lol...the sheer disrespect is stunning.

@@robertrainford6754never improved as a writer? Did he need to? The writing of DB is top notch (given the style of the manga) and Super’s quite decent (even though he’s isn’t directly writing it).

@robertrainford6754 10 ай бұрын
@@ChadKakashi now that’s laughable the writers is awful and formulaic. Same with the fights. You know it’s sad when you have only 2 good fights in the entire portion of the show. That was 17 vs piccolo and 16 vs cell. If he was a such a good writer than why could he not come up with situations were the characters actually won with there fighting skills alone. I mean for a show about fighting I never got the indication that any of the main characters or even goku could actually fight. Why could he come up with the humans and piccolo catching up to goku and vegeta instead of you know being left out of the show because they are sayins. Let’s not forget that for every new concept he creates he fails to explore it or expand upon it. Let’s not forget about the ridiculous power scaling with frieza and of course all the plot holes. I like dragonball z when I was a kid, but as the years gone by I don’t like it anymore. If toryama solution was not to make every fight a one sided mess, and stopped with the stupid hair styles I would feel differently. Despite the rant the man could draw and was a amazing artist, but that’s all I will give him. I admire is art, but hate his storytelling.
@robertrainford6754
@robertrainford6754 10 ай бұрын
@@ivanrivera6998 because he wasn’t a good writer and there were a huge amount of problems with the anima which only got worse. Here is one good one. The show is supposed to be about martial artist right? Well I never get the indication that anybody can fight in the show because there has never been a point we’re sombody one by fighting skills. Every time it was always getting some stupid hair color and winning that way. It turned into a show all about power. At least in the original dragonball the fights felt interesting than just powering up and one shorting people. That isn’t exciting one bit. This is a great time to fix all the problems the show. Making everybody a sayian useless can finally end. Actually having character win through cleaver writing than get some stupid hair color and win. Less reliant on transformations if you can even call them that. I don’t consider glowing hair. Transformation. A transformation is a actual drastic change like frieza or cell.

For me, I was actually about 16 when I discovered dragon ball, I had seen some anime and was a low key fan. But dbz blew me away, my friend had the entire thing recorded on tape, yea, tape, I'm 36 so that wasn't too rare back then, I binge watched the hell out of it, I never actually gave those tapes back as my friend, that he was a massive fan...... He turned me into a bigger one. The manga, it was the first manga I read, and the games, that's what got the rest of my friends into dbz and then manga in general, I don't think any of us would of heard of bleach or naruto if we hadn't of played those games together. The fun we had. And the excitement about anything db related, Akira truely was a legend. The only reason why I played dragon quest was because he did the art. It was amazing. I'm very shocked and saddened over this as I'm sure you all are. R.I.P Akira, thank you for so many amazing memories that quite literally changed not just my life but the lives of so many... He really was one of a kind, and anime and manga as we know it wouldn't exist if not for him. So, thank you, Toriyama sensei, for everything.

My Brother and I came across watching Vegeta vs Zarbon during the Frieza saga. We were so amazed at the fight, we had to watch more. I've fallen in love with Dragon Ball Z since then. I would go to the library after school to watch Dragon Ball, DBZ, even GT. He's the reason why I wanted to become an artist, people ask me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to be the next Akira Toriyama, no joke. I watched Dragon Ball in so many languages before English. That how much of a fan I am. So many moments that man has given us. I got nothing but love and respect for him. The man was an icon, a beacon, a ray of hope. At first way way long ago I dismissed dbz as some silly show with stupid flashy light effects. Then one day I had nothin else to watch so I started watching dbz. Fell in love with the show in 1 episode, was in saiyan saga at the time. DBZ and the things that have spawned from it, parodies, series etc all that has helped me make friends, learn things, inspired me to write sci fi when I was in school and sometime after. Its had such a huge impact on my life. I can 100% in all honesty say my life would be unimaginably different if not for dbz. The thing is though, its not just the show. Its everything that Akira Toriyama had birthed via the series. All the parodies, the similar shows taking inspiration from it. He was such a wonderful talented amazing person.

Akira made a big difference in the black community especially. Black people resonated with Vegeta and frieza, because black people see Frieza as a proverbial racist slave owner and Vegeta proving that he is more than just a toy and can overcome his limitations and surpass his former owner. This is why you see so many black fans appreciating Vegeta over other characters.

What Akira meant to me, I wanted to work out to look like the characters from the show, it showed me no matter how tough things get you push threw them, it also taught me to make many friends, and the most important to me love those who are diffrent...that man has just much impact on grown ass man now than most of there mentors...he will truly be missed...to imagine a life without seeing Dragon ball even at 32....this is to hard to believe

I was shocked when I heard the news. He is flat out one of the most influential writers in the last 50 years. Everyone in the world knows his work. And for many like me it was one of their first animes
