Surprisingly there were only about 10 people at the bar. They were already playing when we walked in. We sat in a booth and I just soaked up the music. That moment came after about 2 bottles of wine and considering that I've been only playing piano for a bit over 2 years, everything learnt from KZbin, and haven't played this song for a few months, I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous. However, everything went good and I was able to capture 3 videos from that day. I do not play very often, as my occupation is being a bartender but still, I can't wait for the public pianos to reopen in London 😁
@SR1Records3 жыл бұрын
@@AndreiPiano You did good. I've been playing this song for about 10 years and i know from experience that the transition at around 2:44 is the most difficult part of playing this song. Also the variation played at around 2:50 is also very difficult. And you nailed both of them! It's so easy to accidently play a wrong note at those sections. But you didn't. Like i said i've been playing this song for around 10 years so i know this wasn't a perfect performance - but it's obvious that it wouldn't be after such a short time playing and some "Dutch courage" inside you, lol. But (apart from the intro) you played all of the correct notes. The only thing that stopped it being a perfect performance was timing. But it was an unfamiliar, public piano, played in front of strangers. Overall, considering all of the circumstances, i'd say it was a great performance and you should be very pleased with yourself. Did you feel slightly relieved when you finished knowing that you didn't hit any wrong notes? lol. So many times i've finished playing/performing a song in public and thought "i'm glad that's over and i didn't play a wrong note"! lol.

@@lila133 I disagree, a song doesn't depend on what is being played, it's how it's played and how it makes you feel. Ludovicos music evokes a different feeling or response in each listener based on that person's own life experience, he's an incredibly talented artist.
@williamhu95672 жыл бұрын
@@psyismylife i guess that makes sense. it’s not like complexity is the deciding factor in what makes music “musical.” I think repetition is important for listeners because it gives them something to hold onto and provides a sense of familiarity and foundation. repetition can be boring if overused though, and can lead to blandness. why i think having at least some complexity is good is cause complexity provides more fullness, richness and movement to a piece. Einaudi does develop the right hand somewhat, which is nice. I think what makes his music enjoyable even with a lack of feel for movement is just that: not moving. He kinda makes you feel like you’re on a cloud, floating along slowly. I kinda like it but i get bored of sitting on a cloud for really long, if you get what i mean. It’s really dreamy, and that’s cool. I tend to enjoy songs that are dreamy but have parts with other emotions that lead up to a soaring sensation. Contrast is one of many things that make music interesting. But that’s just me. I rate him a good/10

I like that you played softly… sometimes people who play public pianos play so loud that it doesn’t give people a choice to talk if they want. It’s hard to get together during covid, and someone might be meeting a friend after a long time and this conversation might be their only chance to catch up.
@TheJwwinter2 жыл бұрын
I actively avoid going to places that have musicians when I go out for dinners for friends. When it's dinner/friends/conversation time, even my favorite songs are just noise to me. If there is a piano, the assumption by the dinners should be that it will be played.
