That was a lovely video Charlie. The thing in the tree is a Birch burl, as for the thin strong sticks what you want are living "green" sticks, less likely to burn and very strong:) Nice choice of music in this video. You need a Chopping board:)

@Edward Kaminsky Greetings Sir, and my first wish for you is to enjoy a lifetime of motorcycle adventure without difficulty. I have written Charlie before and shared that I enjoyed a 27 year career of being a Highway Patrol Trooper in a large city. Yes, I've seen much. I've also explained to Charlie that her videos are special because they're "real". If you listen, you can hear her raised breathing as she navigates the muddy terrain with hopes she doesn't lose control. I'm now retired and live in a southern state where my Kawasaki Concours is my sole transportation. And I still tent camp. Motorcycles and camping gives me feelings of therapy not found anywhere else. And Charlie's videos make me laugh and brighten my day. Godspeed to you Sir.

right.....so....I had a go at that crack an egg into the frying pan with one hand as i took inspiration from your skill at doing so and the egg didn't burst in the pan either. I have been told not to be inspired any more by your videos by my good lady as my attempt rendered most of the egg over the cooker and the wall than in the pan. The shell did though so was easy to pick up. Another master piece by your good self and an enjoyable good watch. loved the reference to the Giraffes 😁😁😁😁

Brilliant vid Charlie, I’ve watched them all and this is up with the best of them. Motorcycle, beautiful (slightly crazy) woman, camping, cooking, dancing and stick making 😀, what more could we ask for. The thing on the tree is a burr (or burl), it’s just a knotty outgrowth which happens now and then if a tree (particularly birch) has a viral disease or is stressed, I see them here where I live in The Forest of Dean, a place not too far from you which maybe you should visit some day.
