This is ceramic infused, this is not a full blown paint ceramic coating, so no worries, yes you can reuse the applicator. And just wash the towels after use, and reuse. Black Ice is a ceramic based spray sealant, that will last even more than their Last Coat version 2.0

CeraTrim looks like it is very easy to apply and more durable compared to Carpro Perl which I use. It seems like CeraTrim works wonders in the exterior because of the glossy appearance and a small ceramic protection which is great for exterior. But for the interior, I don't think the glossy look will be desirable on something like the dashboard and it won't need the ceramic-type protection. I'll stick w the Carpro Perl diluted when I need interior restoration, and 303 aerospace for protection for interior. But the CeraTrim looks appealing for the exterior 🌟
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
I agree Keith. For the interior I still use PERL diluted 5:1 or Aerospace Protectant, but yeah CeraTrim on exterior rubber and plastics is already outlasting PERL by a long shot. I am confident it will surpass the claimed 12 months durability.

I recently bought Cera Trim. They didn't give me the small sponge applicator, it came with a much larger soft microfiber covered sponge. It made it very difficult to apply the product. I couldn't really work it in like you did and it made a mess trying to apply it tight spots like around mirrors. Some got on the paint, hopefully that is OK. The gel never really set up, even after 20 minutes it was still wet so I wiped it off with a microfiber. It could not be "buffed" just wiped dry. It looks great so I hope it lasts.

It would be nice if you could get a car with worse trim conditions to see the long term durability... My absolute favorite is solution finish trim restorer, only 20 dlls for the big bottle and I estimate you can easily do around 10 cars with it and the durability it's amazing so far I've done 6 cars and still have about 3/4 of the bottle, can't imagine anything else better at the moment because I don't know if this TLC product will last.
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
Solution Finish is exceptional too. However it's messy to use and takes longer to apply. So both are great products, it boils down to personal preference. Given TLC's awesome track record for durability with their TLC version 2.0, I don't see how this won't meet or beat expectations of 12-18 months durability. It's good stuff!

B-pillar left hand side protected? LOL. Tough doing these without a teleprompter and do overs must be a real pain. Great product review and demo. Thanks.

I have a brand new car and just can't seem to find the best recommendation to keep the trim "factory fresh". Everything is about restoring it.

The Engine bay needs to be detailed ASAP. Those pillars omg
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
It's just some rustproofing. So you don't want to remove that. Watch this engine bay tutorial where I detailed that engine bay three years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH3adJWjq7GMmJI

@@PanTheOrganizer Just applied it today and I really like it. It covered well and was easy to apply. When I buffed it off it was a bit tacky so I might not have waited long enough to let it dwell so I gave it another few minutes and it buffed out nicely. The difference it made on the trim is unbelievable. Very dark and has a nice gloss to it. Obviously I can't talk about durability or longevity but so far I am definitely happy with the results of this product. I used your coupon code and saved some money too. One other thing that is important to add is the customer service. The Last Coat monitors the tracking number of the shipment and emailed me when the item showed delivered and then they followed up with another email linking to your video now how to apply the product. They are very pro-active. Thank you Pan.....I love your videos and I'll be sure to let you know how Cera Trim holds up under the hot Texas Sun.

Love the product reviews you do Pan! Just went and bought some!! Question though, when you detail a customers vehicle, how do you go about selecting which products you’re going to use on it? With so many products, many doing similar things, it’s hard to select which ones to use!! I only detail my own cars, but I have so many different products, I find it hard to decide which ones to use. I tend to tinker more and try different things out but it would be nice to know how a professional goes about selecting products for a car detail job! Again - thanks for the video, another great one!!
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
Thanks J T! Selecting products is usually a question of simply how I feel that day, or which one I feel like using. I only have top notch products that I love, so I can never go wrong regardless of what I pick off my shelf. But I always have a conversation with the customer before a detail job, and sometimes they want me to use something specific from a specific brand, so I make sure I deliver on their wishes and use that product (if it's a good product of course). Have a great weekend!
