The finished product is beautiful. Great attention to detail. The fact that non ferrous metals don't rust is beside the point. It simply adds a touch of drama, and shows how the real thing would probably look. Not an excuse for criticizing.

Yes it looked aged However to take the plastic apart and not break anything. Good job. Also airbrush looks great. It does take skill and patience to do that. However you slice it the work looks great and it model is once again a conversation piece.

It's diecast. Diecast don't rust,and you're right this isn't that old.
@organrick2 жыл бұрын
@@danieljohnson9351 You’re right, it isn’t that old. I remember buying one, that is the same one, or very similar, back in the early 2000s, from a Ford catalog (I used to work for a Ford dealership) which sold collectible vehicles such as this one, and also bought a pink Edsel convertible. My guess is that you could probably buy them independent of that catalog from whoever made it.

Could have left it as it was, crud and all, and it would have looked good as an original '54/'55 that had been worked hard and put away wet since then. Personally, I think it looks much better this way. He did an outstanding job! 😁👍
@scorch33 Жыл бұрын
You do some outstanding work. I'd just like to say that yours is the second restoration channel I've listened to (Chip Channel Restorations) is the other, whose videos are full of sounds of cars passing overhead or nearby constantly. I hope that in the near future you can make enough money to move out of the garage under that bridge, or the apartment next to the highway, and into someplace quieter. Other than that, excellent work, as always.
@diemaschine2287 Жыл бұрын
At least Chip actually restores abandoned and broken toys. This guy makes fake rust and damage to pass it off as abandoned on his other channels then cleans them up on this channel. Not even a professional and I can see all that “damage and rust” is just paint.
