Restoring a Heathkit HW 32 Single Bander

I restored an HW-32A for someone almost 2 years ago. Just like you my first contact on it was S51DX. I liked the rig so much that I have acquired a -12 and a -22A. Now I just need to get my own -32 to complete the set. Fun little radio.

You are correct about the crystal calibrator socket. I've been studying up on the single-banders, as I hope to find one of each myself. I just scored a working Seneca 2/6 meter transmitter for $10 at the Fort Wayne Hamfest last weekend!

so you removed the 8 pin from the back and put in the 11 male? i have the 8 male out the back what do i do with the other 3? thanks

sorry just saw this. No i made a new cable with 11pin on one end and 8 on the other. I found an instruction on-line somewhere, cant remember where. You do not need the other wires.
