Restoring a PlayStation 3 Super Slim

In this video I'm going to restore a PlayStation 3 Super Slim it has a few bits missing on the shell of the console
I will be tearing it down to see what the in side is like as it has been open before but not by me
I will clean it and replace missing parts and replace the thermal paste
Tools used
Screw driver set
Isopropanol alcohol 99.9%
Compressed air
Thermal paste
Parts
x3 new side cover on the shell of the console

Watch a couple more tutorials till you are confident, I cleaned mine about a month ago and it's fairly easy if you take things slow

Much appreciated on the video, taken mine apart although I didn't have any paste. Gave it a proper clean and managed to break the 3v battery when replacing it then re soldered the back pin. Great tutorial.

@@techrestoread Would you be able to recommend a gentle rust remover for the metal heat dispersion plate that the thermal paste presses against. Used a fiber optic brush yet I'd like to completely treat it if possible.

Don't worry, I lose the screws sit at the table, lol 😆 but a good tip for remembering how it came apart it take many pictures with your phone 😃

I purchased 2 of them recently to give to my parents to record tv (PlayTV) and as a backup to my old well used PS3 Slim. One was filthy and the other was almost brand new. The warranty sticker was untouched and there wasn't any dust on the fan. I couldn't believe it 😂

These are mad easy to take apart, only thing would the hex screws since I didn't have the proper tool to unscrew it with but otherwise piece of cake.
