Megan Schaible and her team from Reaktor collaborated with the University of Helsinki to develop a free online course aimed at reducing the growing gap in our society's technology education levels. Now with over 600,000 students worldwide, Elements of AI is the first course to be translated into every official EU language. The revolutionised online education model behind Elements was developed with human-centered design thinking, aimed at demystifying challenging subjects for those who feel left out by delivering them in an approachable and engaging format, fit for hectic modern lifestyles. Reaktor's education model has demonstrated that higher education and elite technology can truly be democratised on a societal scale if they are adapted to the needs of the citizens who need them most.
Megan is an innovator and humanist thinker living in Helsinki. A successful tech and AI entrepreneur, Megan built her career as a higher education development executive at London Business School, Cambridge University, and Oxford University. Currently, she is working at Reaktor, a technology firm, where she is developing online education with a human-centered approach to demystify emerging technologies for those of us who don’t come from tech backgrounds. Megan is aware of the oversaturation of information and misinformation today. Her personal way of approaching this status quo: Trying to cut through the noise and helping others do the same.

Currently, she is working in online education and AI, advocating for a human-centered approach to demystify emerging technologies for those of us who don’t come from tech backgrounds. Megan is aware of the oversaturation of information and misinformation today. Her personal way of approaching this status quo: Trying to cut through the noise and helping others do the same. To her, TEDx injects life and fresh perspectives in a world full of pessimism and futility by giving people a platform to promote their ‘ideas worth spreading’. She strongly believes in the impact this format can have - especially as the things that can make the biggest difference, often start in the smallest places. Although Megan is aware of the world’s crushing problems at the moment, she thinks that if we dedicate ourselves to making small, mindful, intentional improvements in according to our own capacities every day, the world will become a better place. I think Online Education is the way to go. It is so much more flexible for people, who work next to their studies as I do. From my point of view it's a great opportunity to learn from whereever I want whenever I want.

@@kathib6393 When it takes place of "normal" education, it is not that great :) May well be great selective courses or on something you choose, yeah it is nice, other than it is terrible actually. Like really, it is not that great. my students want to socialize, meet with others, engage with each other, it is all dark screens and silence.
