I would love to see the same type of video comparing Pedasi, Las Tablas, and Chitre. Love your videos and appreciate the info.

That’s not the Coronado we visited last year! Not sure where you got your pics, prices and information! Wow!

Very misleading. Not what it looks like in Coronado and Gorhona at all. Sounds like you pulled up an AI script and found some pics of some random beaches but not of here and where did you get the order of "best"? Def thumbs down

Was just in Santa Catalina! Worth mentioning that there is an ATM there (now) at the main intersection and it's not just a surfing destination, but probably the #1 spot to go diving in Panama by visiting the Coiba National Park. Aside from surfing and diving, though, not much else going on so you probably need to be passionate about at least 1!

Retired to El Espino several years ago from the States. It takes anywhere from 30m-45m if not longer for us to get to Coronado. The myth of one hour to “the city” is just that. The traffic here is a challenge…especially now with all the road construction. There are no good days or good times. Leave home at your own risk. That being said….we love it here. We could not live as comfortable in the States as we do here. Your beach pictures in Coronado was not the Coronado I’ve seen.

We drive it all the time. It takes about an hour unless you're going a rush hour. Yes, with the highway construction from the Bridge of the Americas to Arraijan you had delays in traffic a lot of the time, but the construction is done now. Panama is always improving.

Images are misleading; borderline false for Coronado and Gorgona. Overall info given is about right.

The photos are definitely misleading! We just moved here And coronado has terrible roads. Not many nice houses, and the rent is incredibly high. There's a warning about Bocas, it's not safe. Illegals and crime. Do your own research before coming . We live in Rio Hato

Coronado is horrible. The main road is in desperate need of major repairs. It's filled with potholes, speedbumps, and patchwork at varying heights relative to the original surface. The side streets are mostky dirt, but sone have a smttering of two of gravel. The #1 car repair here is to struts and shocks, and many people get an alignment every 6 months. Power outages are common, often several in a day. Surprisingly, water shortages are even more common. People at the golf course residencesoften godays without running tap water. In the US and Canada, Coronado would be called a slum. Shower water often smells like sewer water, even in Coronado Bay. And oftentimes, like May 2024, the entire area stinks of sewer gas. This is not the place anyone dreamed about during a 40 year career.

My husband and I were watching this video, and we were about to plan to visit Coronado on an upcoming vacation in September because of this video. Thank goodness I read the comments! What is wrong with you, lady? Why would you use video of beaches not in Panama! Misleading videos are not helpful. On the contrary, they are harmful.
@CancelProofLife8 ай бұрын
Some good information, but it was a little weird watching a Panama beach video when none of the B-Roll of beaches came from Panama. I think it defeats the purpose and is misleading. Also, the video failed to mention many of the best beach towns like Pedasi and Playa Venao. I couldn't help getting the impression you haven't spent much (if any) time in Panama.

Unfortunately the pics and videos you show e.g. from Coronado are not from Coronado. I live there, so I know. Absolutely misleading Video. Seems that you do not know what you are talking about. I know NO place in Panama where a couple could live a Western Lifestyle with 1100 USD. This is ridiculous. May be in your Twenties, living a Robinson Life, live from rice, fish and papaya in a typical cheap tico home without modern amenities... Most expats here are retirees, used to luxury stuff like: an own car, eating out, hobbies like tennis, golf, fishing, pickle ball, paddel, being used to US or European foods, e.g good quality beef, milk products, alcohol, ice cream, chocolates, cappuccino..... Did you further take into account things like the oh so non important health insurance? Trust me, a minimal! health insurance plan for 67 yr old couple with co pagos of 30% costs 320 USD a month. Car Insurance 50 USD TV and Internet 75 USD Rent a 2 bedroom 2 bath appartement at Western Standards at the beach minimum 1000 USD. No way in Coronado, much higher there... We are a couple in our early sixties and we need 600-800 USD for groceries a month. Don't be fooled, Panamá is wonderful, but not low price.
@kennyroberts27035 ай бұрын
Who needs $600-800 a month in groceries? I live in Panama City/we play way less than that/that's with shopping at PriceSmart. It's possible to live in Panama in the interior for $1100 a month. You just have to adjust your lifestyle but you definitely won't be living a Robinson Crusoe existence.

This video is total bullshit! I know many expats in Panamá and there is no way a couple can live on a budget of $1100 a month including rent unless you want to live at the poverty line in Panamá. More like $2500 to $3509 for a couple to live a decent life. Also, most of the beach pictures shown here are not even beaches in Panamá! They show beautiful beaches from other parts of the world. Why do they make such fraudulent videos like this? Very disturbing.
@jmgreunerАй бұрын
I've done a few tours of Panama and I don't believe any of the beach videos were filmed in Panama. Outright fraud. I've spent a lot of time on a lot of beaches in the US, Mexico and Caribbean and none of the beaches in Panama impressed me at all. But I still intend to move to Panama in 2025, on the best beach I can find.
