Something about all this doesn't add up. He's supposedly been destitute and 'on the bread line' for over a year. Yet, he appears to be moving around Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines fairly regularly. I've travelled around Asia and it ain't cheap - hotels, flights and ancillary costs. Either he has more money than he suggests, or he's racking up huge credit card debts.

Social Security, you need 40 credits. In a few minutes you can create your profile and log into their website and have all the information you need. You probably dont have 40 yet but have time to still earn them.

No, it’s not 62, it’s 67. Retiring at 62 is early retirement. You may not get that much more but it’s 5 years less of life you have to finance with no job.

You can see why this guy has problems - he listens to everyone's advice but takes none of it! Seriously though, he seems to suffer from circular logic, where he begins with what he's trying to end with and works his way back. It's a textbook fallacy often seen in addictive personalities, like gamblers and alcoholics. I don't think this will end well.

Very interesting. "he begins with what he's trying to end with and works his way back" can you explain this more?
@justintcb5189Ай бұрын
@@HairyPixels Circular logic is when an argument uses its conclusion as evidence to prove itself. "It’s true because everyone knows it’s true." sort of thing.

Yeah the clearance certificate is a pain in the ass although it is still doable. Easier to stay in the Philippines than leaving the Philippines with their system :) Travelling with 7 kg is the way to do in South East. It takes a bit some organization but it saves headaches, money and gives more freedom.

Your young not to work specially not a lot of money I don’t see you retired already And think about it there’s no money to be made in that country if your just spinning around there all day without any kind of money coming in ,Philippines is not easy country it’s good just to go for vacation then leave but in u.s.there is no age discrimination but in the Philippines big time once your at that age it’s not easy to get a job they want young employees.We just hope one day you’ll realize and u woke up in the morning and tell yourself it’s time to leave this country and go back in u.s and work so I can better myself,51 years of age you can still work specially what your saying that you need federal reserves.This is not too late for you sir to get up again and climb the mountain more higher to better yourself.Talking videoing about being broke is not going to help you at all unless you get paid in KZbin good money.Action speaks louder than words.I believe you can make money still in u.s.i believe you can do it your only 51 but if your afraid to lose your benefits in u.s. then think of something to earn money buy and sell make profit something that you can generate money forget the Philippines ain’t doing any good for you.Goodluck Sir!!!

I thought about retirement money 33 years ago. Began investigating then. I can live on my investments alone and when i got s.s. it was a total free roll ie strpper party money. If your thinking about retirement investments over 50, youre already toast.

@nala3038 well it's more difficult the older you get.
@oldbloke204Ай бұрын
@@nala3038 Depends really imo. Maybe if you've paid off your debts., including housing , and have a lot of disposable income you may be able to do it if you make good choices but the thing with compounding is that time is your friend and does much of the work for you. Obviously you may get lucky with things like cryptos or whatever but generally I have found that people who are hopeless with money when they're younger don't change much. I was thinking about retirement very soon after I started working decades ago.
@thejdgoodwinАй бұрын
Agreed. My wife and I got a financial advisor when we were in our twenties. Retired in my 50's. The returns on our investments bring in more annually than we need, tbh. So the remainder gets plowed back in. Social Security? I won't even touch that until I'm 70. But when I do I'll join you for a "hookers and blow" party. But I'll have to ask my wife if that's okay.

I remember when mutual fund info came in an envelope every month there were only around 100 of them lol and btw I dont waste a dime on poontang I just used that term as like Its definitely a free roll. You are like a guy who is in a canoe 2 miles away from Niagara Falls knowiing it's coming and about ready to lose your paddle. I dont think you qualify for SS or even Medicare. Maybe medicade since you are broke. But you😅 could ask the USA embassy for a ticket home, get a job, pay them back, save some money, qualify for SS and still save yourself before going over the "falls". Or maybe you get "lucky" and an online job appears. I dont know but I'm glad I'm not in your self made situation.
