I used to collect hockey memorabilia,and very rarely found good cards. I do remember ,on 2002 ,sending some cards off for autographs. Some players were awesome. Pavel Bure signed and sent some more autographs. Gretzky ruined them with autopen. Patrick Roy just kept the cards. The best? Gordie Howe,sent a commemorative book,that he signed. This was for a classroom fundraiser,to make sure all kids got to go on an end of year class trip. I had so much fun doing that!

You channel is killer! Me and my husband are in the same type of buisness. We buy estates, and buy all of the contents in houses to resale. We donate many items and always are on the hunt to bring new items in the shop. All of those sports cards from late 80s to 90s are all junk wax. The newer modern cards is where it is at and we buy whole collections of modern autograph cards and older 50s 60s 70s and 80s toys. The original starwars figures in the original packaging is where the money is at. We just purchased a huge vintage toys lot that we have been going though the last few days. All mostly 60s and 70s era. It is never considered work when you love what you do. Keep up the awesome content!

I LOVE buying bulk legos at auction, especially when you can see that there are parts of good sets. Getting them washed and disinfected, laying them all out on a beach towel to dry, then sorting them. Then the fun begins. It’s tedious, but a good stress reliever for me to build. So exciting when I can make a set.

My late son had many of the action figures, ships etc unfortunately he sold them in a yard sale when he was in his teens. I bet that the mother was part of the reason he had all the parts. She was the person who cleaned and picked them up or retrieved them from the vacuum cleaner. My son and his friends would suck them with vacuum. They pretended that they were sucked in a black whole❤❤❤

11:25 That's a cool Star Trek "Space Seed" Edition model kit which not only features the original U.S.S. Enterprise, but also the submarine-like 'Botany Bay' ship which was the ship of Khan Noonien Singh (played by Ricardo Montalbán) and his exiled crew of genetically engineered "supermen" and women. In fact, 'Space Seed' was the episode that spawned the revenge story in 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' (1982) which allowed Ricardo Montalbán to reprise his role as Khan and to this day, the movie is the gold standard for all other Star Trek movies with its brilliant score by the late James Horner.

Ricardo Montalban - best Star Trek baddie ever. You can bet he had a blast playing the part too. Over the top scenery chewing was encouraged.(LOL)
@TorontoJon9 ай бұрын
@@OriginalNethead, yes, and the director, Nicholas Meyer, encouraged Ricardo to be subtle with his performance with seething undercurrents of anger just beneath the surface (dark and brooding) rather than simply being a shouting, screaming lunatic. It was a fantastic performance. :)

15:26 Congratulations, Alex, regarding sorting out all of those Kenner Star Wars figures with their various guns, clothing apparel, and accessories. I just wanted to point out though that some of your bags have incorrect Star Wars dates on them like that C-3PO with his net bag and removeable limbs, for instance, was not a 1977 figure, but was from 1980 or 1981 since it was a figure from 'The Empire Strikes Back' (1980) just as some other figures are from 1983 for 'Return of the Jedi' and in any case, one can find the dates stamped on their legs or other areas to confirm when they were manufactured as well as where they were made (Cincinnati, Ohio or Hong Kong or Taiwan and some were made in Mexico too, if I recall). :)
@lauriegoulding55889 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, the R2-D2 looks like just the regular version with Sensorscope, which was available at retail on a regular card back. If it WAS a mail away version, that value drops to just a regular figure if it’s not still sealed in the original mailer baggie. An amazing lot, though! The stuff of dreams for a nerd like me.

That Cullen card in the first red book (I have it) was a big deal because it was an error card but not so valuable. That Patrick Roy Goalie mask against the black is also a great card. I have it, too.
