Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (released in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) is an action-adventure video game based on the 2001 film of the same name. Developed by Warthog Games and released in December 2003 for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, it is the second set of games to have this title following a release of the same name in 2001.
The story follows protagonist Harry Potter, who, after discovering he is a wizard, is sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes friends and receives magical training, and along with his friends stops Lord Voldemort from returning to power. The game received mixed reviews. Critics commented on the game's accessible gameplay and its unimpressive graphics.
The player controls the character Harry Potter from a third-person perspective.
A new, separate game Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was made for newer consoles in 2003 by Warthog Games, 2 years after the original versions. Its gameplay differed greatly from the other versions, followed the film far more closely than the other games, though it was criticized for reusing the spells and world map from the Chamber of Secrets version of the game.

Love the streams man, glad you're playing one of my faves. I wonder if you'd be open to streaming more than just once a week? You could really get a good flow going with more frequent streams because game content like this is amazing

Hey, glad you're enjoying them! Honestly, I spread them out because I know we only have so many Potter games left 😅 And any time I try and do something outside of Potter, it just doesn't do well on this channel. Maybe some day though if I played other similar fantasy games w/ magic?

@@RetroRaconteur Oh yeah I completely understand that. And you may be finished with them all by the time HL summer update happens, and that would probably be a good time to stream another playthrough for the channel?? I personally would be totally into that. But HP games aside, I mean your core audience watch you for YOU, not necessarily HP content. I'm sure there'd be some that would follow your streams of other games as well, especially if you find something you really enjoy. And there's plenty of games with magic in them for sure, perhaps Baldur's Gate?

The original PS2 version has graphics similar to the original PS2 version of Philosopher's Stone. However, the Xbox and Gamecube version features more notable graphics, removed and altered content (such as dialogue, cutscenes, possibilities/exploits and card locations), as well as a changed camera perspective
