I needed to fix a bent solenoid actuator in the selection unit and re-do the centering on the selector unit.

Great job!! Juke Boxes are always so interesting to watch, by design. This mechanism moves very gracefully, it is just fun to watch it operate. I knew a Wurlitzer engineer, he was worried about the new computers (Apple II) destroying his industry.

You are a really good repair man, very thorough in your work, and not only in the electronics part of it, but mechanical as well. Great job on the 2900. I had a 2600 and that is the latest model Wurlitzer I ever owned.

Thank you...Yes it does need a little more adjustment at the beginning. I've actually been to all the places in that song except Santa Fe but hope to go there some day. That was a song I really remember from when I was young.

Thanks! There is a gripper mechanism which extends through the center of the record and holds it to the hub. This mechanism activates after the record has been pushed up to the turntable.

".....everything that I've got, is just what I've got on. When that sun is high in that Texas sky, I'll be bucking at the county fair..." lol I love that song. Also, nice job getting this thing working great. Cool! I wish my local bar had a vintage jukebox like this. I can tell you one thing, that George Strait record would be completely worn out after me and my friend were finished with it lol Looks like the tonearm needs adjusting though.

Hi Mike, are you sure the motor is reversing like it should when the crank arm hits the selection pin...also is there any gummy grease in the pawl mechanism. I have a Wurlitzer 3000 model in the shop now so I can check the mechanism again for some more suggestions.

Hello! -- disconnected one of my midranges, and got 15.6 ohms, & figuring in .6 ohms on my dirty (from automobile use) leads...going to heed your suggestion - leave them be - but I may replace the crossover caps...if I can find 'tolerance' values to suit.

Hello, we have worked on a 3300 in the past but don't have one with us now. You might do a DC resistance check on the speakers with an ohmmeter and then convert that into ohms of impedance...I am not sure how offhand but you can probably find a formula with a google search. I know the two ohm measurements are different though. I haven't had so much trouble with midrange/tweeters though so unless you hear distortion from them or see surround degradation I would leave them be.

Thanks retrochad, I've got a 3300 in VERY good condition -- I'm currently running through the selections one-at-a-time after re-capping my amp a couple of weeks ago, which made an incredible increase in sound quality & volume. Replaced my crumbling woofers with Celestion 70/80s last year -- would you happen to have any specs on the mid-range & tweeters for this juke? The maintenance manual only lists Wurllitzer part #'s, no specifics - ohms, 'range' etc...THANKS again!

Hi, thanks for sharing this video. We have this same jukebox, and it needs a general cleaning because many of the selector buttons don't work most likely due to dirty contacts. I am just interested in finding out how much you charged to repair this unit? If you happen to be from northeastern Pa, that would be perfect!

@danadkins123 Hi, I'm not sure. I have seen them sell at auctions from $100-2500 depending on the model.

Would you know why the tone arm on a 3010 Wurlitzer doesn't completely lift off the record at the end of the song. It seems to catch on the last groove making the arm jump backwards a couple grooves so I have to keep hitting the reset button to so the tone arm will lift off the record?

hi..i love the video ..i`m working on a 2710 and no matter how many times you work on a jukebox some times you run across a completely new problem..on this one on the upper half of the bottom part of mech there is a pawl that is push up against the gear wheel that rotates backward when a record is suppose to be pick up..on this one the pawl is not pushed against the gear and lets the mech jam instead of picking up the record..there should be some tenshion on the pawl but there are not .help!!
