...and priced it $999. btw, it can be argued TE's design language is overloaded with little details, losing its intended minimalist shape and going off the form-follows-function track they follow, while not going well enough with their GUI. while RK's design is flawless for the idea they went for (even if I personally dislike the calculator form factor).

Yeah because Uli can produce 500000 at once. Retrokits is a small 1 man show Boutique manufacturer. They probably gonna make batches of 2000 or so. If they sell more they can mass produce more and lower the price, if they can buy parts in larger quantities for it for less.

based on what competing products? I find $350 hard to swallow too, $299 would be fine, but then there's second hand market for that.
