Every single time I watch this clip I get chills. Dean Martin and Perry Como singing a duet of Return to me is heavenly. Each man had a beautiful singing voice and style. 1silverbay Pure talent, yes -but also the experience that only comes from years on the road learning their craft by performing in clubs around America to all kinds of audiences before they found fame. These men really 'paid their dues' and earned all the accolades that came their way, unlike many of today's acts who think that appearing once on a TV 'talent' show makes them a star, when in reality if you put them in front of a real big band of genuine musicians instead of a computerised backing track, they would be totally lost.

I agree. Perry Como was my sister's absolute favorite, and Dean was mine...as well as Frank...and later (since I was a teenager in the 1960s) The Beatles. The Beatles were a different breed of course but as teenagers we definitely were affected by all the hysteria that accompanied them!

It is rather dark, but considering the age of the recording I think we have to be grateful that it has survived at all - and it does show that Deans wonderfully contagious smile could light up the darkest corner!!😄

Perry was the anti-Rat Packer, but loved and respected all the more for it more than 10 years since his passing.
