Wow I just learned something new. I didn't know people use raw aloe on their hair. Of all the KZbin videos about locs yours is definitely some of the best. Your locs are some of the neatest I ever seen. I'm curious how long have you been growing them?

Some people have complained about raw aloe vera leaving white residue in their hair. Have u experienced this as well?

That's most likely pieces from the inner part of the leaf. I always strain my gel with muslin. It keeps the residue in the cloth and only the gel will pass through. The pieces of the inner leaf is hard to see when wet but once it dries in the hair, it looks like white flakes. Always strain.

I was reluctant on using the AV because I heard it had an odor. Never would I have imagined that it would be used for retwisting. I was basically going to run it through my hair then immediately wash it out. Guess theres only one way to find out.

I assume you can freeze it but I just threw it in the garbage.

You can put it in a Tupperware container and keep it in the fridge. It's great for skincare, removing makeup etc.
