Ahhh. That made me smile big! Guineas are some of the dumbest clucks in the hen house, but they sure are entertaining. We had some, they could get out of the run...but bless their little pea sized brains, they couldn't figure out how to get back in...every single day!

You can color ring their legs. The parents one color, then each generation another color. Ex: parents blue, teenager red, new hatchery green, etc if they hatch another set of eggs purple. This way it's easier to know who is older for processing than just judging by size. Congrats and welcome home Mr. Ferley!

We lost all but 1 of our guinea last year. last guinea hen married a rooster and would tell him what for if he tried looking at another chick. That was her man! She would fight my chickens for him. She thought she was a chicken.
