The arthropods are in silent and meaningless awe of you. Know that we are watching- when you’re tired, when the vision spins out of control. The insects will be looking on. Rooting for you. And when you fall we will come to raise you up, bud from you, banner-like, blossom from you and carry you apart in a sky funeral. In honour of your passing.

something hits different about ZAUM coming up first, the difference between cultural orgaisation and company is incredibly sad. Its become weirdly common that the things i enjoy sort of fall apart, like writers whos work i find dying soon after; or i find out that they do terrible things. It always hurts, but something about ZAUM feels worse. Its hard in dark times when it feels like the stars are going out too.
@unexecutable20972 жыл бұрын
What happened?
@teacooper64852 жыл бұрын
@@unexecutable2097 the majority of the leads working on the game were forced out of ZA/UM. Martin, one of memeber of the orignal ZA/UM group, talked about it going from a cultural organisation to a company. Robert Kurvitz I believe has began a law suit against the company, but as it stands the writers and artists no longer have the IP in short, when Joyce describes capitalism taking everything (even stuff critical of it) happend too ZA/UM there's some other details, it's definitely worth reading about, just kinda hoping that the folks that developed this world over a decade get to continue working on it :P

Same here. It's easily one of the best experiences a videogame could provide to the average person. It's humorous, critical, dark, thought-provoking and creative from head to toe. The way people feel astounded by a really good film, book, television show etc... I firmly believe Disco Elysium is the one game that could get most people feeling similarly. Its imagery is unlike any other. It's so confident and assured of itself in its existential, political and social commentaries. I've honestly never experienced anything as well-crafted as the world and people of Revachol. You know how people say something along the lines of there being a whole world between the pages of a book? That's how I feel about this game.
@senhorengenheiro10 ай бұрын
Nobel is a bit too much. Let them make 4-5 more like this and sure, but a single work doesn't deserve it.
@JL325067 ай бұрын
@@senhorengenheiro I don't really agree with that. If we begin believing that impact = quantity, then we've lost the plot, no? There are many, many people that have only given a single defining piece of art or science and gained a prize for it. That said, video games tend to get ignored in that equation, and I think that's unfortunate.
@senhorengenheiro7 ай бұрын

'Be Vigilant, We Loved You...' Like an echo of who we once were, calling out to the now, that as dark as the world becomes, the light within can be bright enough, never to banish or dismiss outright, but enough to carry it forward. It is our sacred charge whether we know it or not, to kindle the fire, and to with every measure of our will to guard it against the darkness.
