I reckon she has a great voice and she speaks very clearly.

Correction - sunlight is measured to reach earth in 8 minutes. 8 seconds is an error.

I absolutely and categorically agree with all comments above and below. Was gonna pitch in with an opinion about the narrators voice but it looks like everyone else got there first. Ho Hum.

How can we say, we are looking into the past when your present reality depends on these connections in present time?

I find it very difficult to get my head round this time travelling malarky. Viewing a distant galaxy means we are viewing it as it was some millions of years ago. Does this mean that we will never know how it looks 'right now'? Surely we can only look 'back' so far - is there a tipping point? A distance in time where we can't look back any further? ANd how about the galaxies that are further out than our own from the theoretical big bang - do we see their past as well? Is there such a thing?

Would you recognize the back of your head as it looked qhen you were 1 year old?How do they know they`re not looking at our own region of the cosmos back in time?

Energy is motion! Matter is opposed motion simulating rest and balance now through violent motion! The locational spherical inward absorption and outward emission of electromagnetic waves is forming antimatter matter annihilation, + and - electric charge, EM-fields, flow of time and all forces of nature Thus Doppler and limited range Spherical inward and outward waves causes a redshift, less energy exchange, less overlapping EM-wave interactions acting upon accelerating mass from distance radius

I imagine that this video was specifically produced to reach adults and young students alike, so keep that in mind when complaining about the tone and delivery of the narrator.

Poor Marti Krane (the narrator) comes in for some stick here. She sounds like an infantile escapee from an acid trip saturated by royal jelly. Don't know why she was chosen by the producers. In contrast, Carol Lonsdale describes the SWIRE mission in an articulate, understandable and humanly approachable manner. We should hear more from scientists of her kind, being informative and engaging, without being over-dramatical and condescending.

Great little documentary, but it might have been better if the narrator didn't sound like the voiceover from a phone sex commercial.

You're right. But still, one of the issues of a global network is sharing our experiences and connecting with people all around the world :) :) . Still exciting to me! Besides, the male's pronounciation and dialect is even worse :p .

This video is made for 5-15 y old, to make kids interested in what they listen, so they learn and later watch something like Lawrence Krauss videos. It is 21st century and >15 y old normally know all of this. If you don't...then look at your comment, replace "her voice" with your name.
