Love it! It looks awesome! I almost did this on our White Model 3, but now we’re on to our MSM Model Y - just front PPF. Our rocker panels got pummeled last winter, Oregon cinder over the mountain pass is just nasty. Thankfully we have PPF running along the bottom there too. Thanks Gjeebs.

I got my black MYP done with XPEL Stealth as well. I had them paint my decals red then put a black wrap over it, so you have the red peekaboo look. I also got the black dual motor with the performance red line. The white looks dope as well, almost looks like a pearl. Wish I could make it to the meet up. Great content as always!!

What I notice is how these guys NEVER tell what they paid. This costs a TON of money. After doing some "research" Xpel is good, but the clear version is warrantied for 10 years vs stealth for 5. Makes the choice a bit harder as well.

Hey Gjeebs, Still happy with the Xpel Steath. I am awaiting delivery of MYLR in a few weeks(cross my fingers its 4680 from Austin. Once it arrives I want to wrap it. Winters are tough here in canada. Quoted about 5000CAD$ plus Tax..Hole lotta money but I intend to keep the car for long time

Yellowing doesn’t really happen anymore and especially with XPEL. I try and wash my car every 2 weeks

This is what I did to my Y the week I got it. I find it funny that what they call “stealth” look is the exact opposite. Like the clear gloss look is invisible to the eye(stealth) but the “stealth” is visible to the eye, lol, makes no sense. I like the look but think it looks better when you actually have a color other than white, so you can see the “stealth” look even more.

Unrelated comment again, but my husband took our Y to the new service center in Santa Fe, NM. He said it was small with only 4 employees but they got our car fixed quickly. The driver seat had stopped working and wouldn’t move forward into my profile so I couldn’t drive the car. Turned out to be small pieces of foam stuck in the rails. No idea where that came from - maybe during manufacturing?

Do you lose that pearlescent quality on the paint when you do the satin/stealth PPF? We love that part of the paint but I love how the stealth wrap looks.

I got my front done with stek ppf , a dude swerved off to the shoulder kicked up debris , ppf got damaged have Geico coming out to assess the damage as the other party took fault, if I didn’t have ppf my front end would be all messed up Also god damn a the mache looks crazy

only the rocker + bottom of the doors and the front bumper i was quoted $1200. I can't afford doing a full…I'd like to go stealth but that will require to do the entire thing. mixing gloss and stealth will just look dumb….xpel need to reduce the cost , even if the big part of the cost is in the labour… not many people can afford doing the full

@@Gjeebs She thinks the ride is harsh compared to her Audi Q5. I have the 20 inch wheels. I agree with her, but the other positives outweigh this one negative. I think she is intimidated by the screen as she try’s to adjust cooling controls, heated seats for her side…as I watch in silence looking at her struggle. Doesn’t like that I park far away from other cars, and that I’m obsessive about avoiding curb rash. She calls my car “Precious Tesla” with disdain. ;-(

Nit picking terms. Unless you are using your Tesla to earn money, it is an expense not an investment. Although, depending how well your channel is doing - it might be an investment - but likely a business expense (check with a CPA). But, for the average Tesla owner, most likely just an expense. I hear "investment" used incorrectly so much - especially as a way to manipulate people into buying extended warranties or other protective services or products. I can recall a Best Buy employee asking me if I wanted to protect my investment (computer keyboard) with their extended warranty. Sorry for the micro rant, just frustrated my model Y order is pushed out to March. :P

I did the same thing on my black MY performance (stealth ppf) and got the front two windows tinted. Paid $5000 cash. I think it's probably a little less than the usual but expect at least that.

There is no white wrap it’s only a satin finish or glossy finish. Both provide the same protection just different finishes

Stealth ppf from xpel is easy to clean because it has hydrophobic properties. Stealth factory paint stains very easily so maybe that's what you are thinking of. This has been great to clean
