You can never go wrong with Raceseng. I have one for the FRS, and I recently got another for the GR. Both Raceseng Ashiko Shift Knobx. It makes shifting so much better.

This thing looks so good! With those wheels, it really matches your vision for this car of being the modern day counter part to Takumi's AE86: White on black, multi-spoke wheels, functional upgrades without being ridiculous, etc. This is what I love about your builds (besides the WRX, but I'll give that a pass since it's your OG car and basically a show build now). You do a practical yet aggressive stance with non-stretched tires and functional camber. So nice to see among the sea of stance boi 45 degrees of negative camber with tires that are like 2 inches too small for the wheels. Lol.

I don't get why you guys choice a wheel the protrudes beyond the body work, that's not cool nor is applying excessive negative camber or chopping up panels to make it work. Sure, fill out the wheel well and roll the lips but seriously, find a wheel with the right offset to begin with.

I feel 245/40R18 is too overkill for this car. It may look good, but they are much much bigger than oem size, and I'm not referring to the width, but to the total overall diameter (+4.27% no less)... That must be stealing acceleration for sure, it must be noriceable even without a chrono, just by feeling it. I think that 8.5x18 in 235/40R18 are big enough, and they alteady +2 sizes compared to oem (+3.08%).

I'm going to pick up my gr86 in a week and I'm so freaking excited. I know it's a budget car but it'll be the only actual new car I've ever had. I really like the way this looks with the meaty tires and dropped down a bit. I'm definitely going to do the same but I'll have to think about how far I can lower it. The roads in Michigan are shit so I've always been leery about lowering anything semi nice
