When Mongol forces ruled the world, Kublai Khan sent envoys to various countries, including the Singasari Kingdom in Java, to ask them to submit. The ruler of Singasari, Kertanagara, refused and insulted the Mongol envoy. Angered by this action, Kublai Khan sent a large army led by Shi-bi, Ike Mese, and Gaoxing to punish Kertanagara. However, in Java they met Raden Wijaya, who cleverly allied with them to defeat Jayakatwang. After victory was achieved, Raden Wijaya betrayed and succeeded in expelling the Mongol troops, establishing the Majapahit Kingdom.
