Amazing results on the Elefant

Easier to do by applying about half that amount to start. You can also create chips in the zimmerit by laying down irregular pieces of masking tape before applying the paste. After it dries, you peel away the tape and instant chip! Great job on the kit.

I saw that Elefant here at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland before it was shipped to Bovington and got a new paint job. It was sitting at a railhead on post waiting to be moved. It looks like after you finished that great looking kit, your going to need more shelf space.

Quite simply, nice! Another superb model yet again. I like the NoNails zimmerit idea, looks a bit messy and fiddly but a great result. Another thumbs-up from me. Keep them coming 👍🏻

When it’s an “old kit”, is it an old mold but new plastic, old mold and old olastic but re-boxed?
@richardgere93653 жыл бұрын
Wow! You've really done that kit justice! And it is obvious that Revell produces 1/35th armour comparable in quality to Tamiya in some instances.

An interesting take on the towing cables. I've never seen them coiled and fixed to the casemate before ? ... Why would the bow machine gunner be looking at a map, that should be the job for the commander. ... I don't think the barrel would be in the gun crotch, maybe just resting on it but not locked unless being recovered or transported .... A great build and good weathering, well done.

It's nice to see someone building an old classic kit instead of tossing it aside in favor of the latest flavor of the month by Ryefield or Takom.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there were no Elefants on eastern front. There were Ferdinands on the eastern front. they had no forward machine-guns and they were an easy pray for the Russian infantry. After battle of Kursk, where Ferdinands made their debut, what was left of 90 of them got withdrawn, fitted with a machine-gun and sent to Italy.

Omg buddy u have build a awesome model can u tell me every product that you have used in this kit : paint, pigment, weathering effects, chipping effect, metal color, mud effect, rust effects ect...
@scalemodelling765 жыл бұрын
Anymore MC I used Vallejo dark yellow for the base colour, Vallejo US olive drab for the green spots and Vallejo mahogany brown for the reddish brown spots ! The tracks were just painted black and drybrushed with Vallejo chrome ! For oil washes I use abteilung 502 black for a general wash and brown for rust streaks ! I use Ak dark mud pigment for mud and I mix it with a little bit of Ak mud wash to bind it . Large chunks of mud I used Vallejo dark earth diorama mud . I use Vallejo Matt varnish to seal everything in .
