You could skip all the upgrade by simply applying the tune then resetting the tune to stock. You still bought the upgrades from the tunes so it will show “Owned” on each part that the tune had.

I just find it stupid that tunes are locked by default to begin with. I do not want to have copyright on the stuff i slap together (i'm probably doing something wrong anyway), if you want to edit it i got no problem with that, but the game won't let me post it as unlocked tune or livery to begin with, why is that? I would not mind spending more credits to get an unlocked version either. Maybe lock it just so i can't re-post it, even when i change stuff around, but editing stuff for my own use should be allowed, just seeing how someone else changed something can help to understand how stuff works. Just downloading a locked tune doesn't help me understand anything better. If anything i get annoyed by the choice of rims or bodykit parts and won't bother unless i have a good reason. And since they added color zones to rims, any old livery with painted rims is bugged out now, only changing the color of the first zone... and i can't fix that if its locked. So i often need to change to rims that have only one color zone, but that doesn't work if i use a locked tune as well.

Tuning cars in FH4 brings SO much more enjoyment once you get it right. Guessing a locked tune might be ok as a starting point but my goal would be to make a faster better tune than whats available - clearly this is determined by how much you want to put into it, My Senna and Mosler tune are VERY fast but took about 6-8 hours of road testing to get cambers right and the gearing lengths right - but its like driving a new car. Thanks again for all your hard work - you are amazing. =)

True, but getting there is hard. I've spent the last few months improving, made a few tunes that I thought are pretty good, compared them to the tunes made by the guy who made most of the pvp tunes I use and thought "hey, mine seem pretty alright, they even feel nicer to drive most of the time"... And then I compared times, my setups are always slower, sometimes half a second on a minute long track, usually 2-3 seconds slower and I have no clue what else to change. Knowing what he does different might actually give me some idea on how to improve

@HokiHoshi, A quicker way to do A TON of what you describe, is after you buy a BRAND NEW CAR, Apply your fav downloaded tune, and ONLY THE TUNE YOU WANT TO REPLICATE! Because when you do this, it will purchase ALL the parts that tune requires! On a BRAND NEW CAR, you will not OWN a single aftermarket part, but after apply your FAVORITE TUNE you will now OWN ONLY THE PARTS THAT YOUR FAVORITE TUNE USED! Simply reapply those parts that you now own, and VOILA! You have all the same parts that the FAVORITE TUNE YOU DL'ed HAD! Obviously there will be some work left to do, for example the exact wheels might be hard to figure out, or they might be easy, but as long as you match the same WEIGHT, then you should essentially have the same part-ish when it comes to that part! Now I noticed that certain things that you might want to change, like the wheels or the spoilers, or forza front aero, are obviously going to change some of the stats and therefore change the performance, this has to be understood when getting into reverse engineering a tune. However you can often equip or unequip certain things, or play with SOME settings to get back to that specific DOWNLOADED TUNE's settings, but this is where i suggest that you drive aroun with that DOWNLOADED tune for a bit and really get familiar with it before attempting to Reverse Engineer a Downloaded Tune! Also note that you obviously can replicate the parts very easily with MY METHOD, however you will absolutley not be handed the TUNABLE SETTINGS in any easy way at all whatsoever. This is where having gotten familiar with your downloaded tune comes in very handy. Some things you can actually see easily though. Wheel Camber/Toe/Caster, Ride Height, Brake Upgrades, etc. Just simply try to replicate what you see. THIS, is how I replicate tunes! I hope this helped you HokiHoshi, and everyone else, to get a big leap forward on your TUNE REPLICATIONS! Happy Racing Everyone, and see ya on the open roads! In-game name = In2Madness9082

@YouGoneMad4 жыл бұрын
@@Sherlock245 it only works on a brand new car mate. Because once you apply ANY tune to a car then the parts from that Tune will have been purchased. So buy a fresh nrw car, thats NEVER had any tune applied to it at all (if buying from auction house, best chance is look for "Stock" under the "tuner" part, although it still could have had a tune applied at some point, in which go look for another stock auction car until the car owns NO PARTS WHATSOEVER!). Once you have a fresh car, with no tunes having ever been applied, and you confirmed that no parts for the car are owned, then your set. Now find the tune you want to replicate, and apply it to said vehicle (when asked to pay for the tune, your actually buying ALL the parts that Tune was created with), and your essentially done as far as the parts side of the tune go. Now just go in to customize Tune, and when it ask about a tune being applied and will be reset, click YES. Now if you look through all the parts, you will see that the parts from the Tune you wanted to replicate, are now the only aftermarket parts that you currently own, so apply all those "OWNED" parts, and VOILA! You have copied the parts side of the tune you set out to replicate.** **: I suggest start at the engine swap area. The tune you applied could have done an engine swap, and if so, once you apply THAT ENGINE, Then and ONLY then, will you finally see all the engine parts that are already "OWNED", that you may not have been seeing before. Just FYI, ;)

As far as i can tell the difference between SC & TC is usally very easy to spot. Just hold the throttle and e brake, a super changer will always have a max boost value from min rpm under full throttle. And turbo will always be able to build more boost from that point with the 2-step drag launch tactic. (Lots of vids showing you how to do this) SC will NOT cont. to build boost, What it has at full throttle is what you get. Turbos can usually build much more then w.e it holds at a standard drag launch. Hopfully you all understood that, im terrible with explanations.

Hey man, I was confronted to the exact same problem as you just an hour ago, I wanted to create a good competitive car for A Class ranked adventures, and the only answer I can give you is: experiment. Try to modify your car in a way and test it out, while you do that, look at what’s wrong with the car (too much power ? Too much weight ? Bad handling ? Too slow ? Wheelspins ?) then modify the car to try to get rid of those defects and try again... that’s what I did and passed from a leightweight tire destroyer to a leightweight rocket that handles perfectly ;)

Not too hard, you never want over 1000 hp for grip, always go race tires, let out some tire pressure, and lengthen the gears to where it launches and has decent top speed but it doesn't spin, down force always helps, minimum rear camber and always .5 more in the front if any, also differential is something you need to experiment with. There's a little more to it but those are the basics, also max tire width obviously lol and believe it or not spring stiffness also has an effect to mess with that too.
