These sensors are great. I also use the flysky altitude sensor. If you need to calibrate the output voltage you can add an offset in the OpenTX telemetry page

Thanks for that Charles had not thought of that.
@charlesjones50703 жыл бұрын
@Simon Lomax no it doesn't. OpenTX autocalibrates for 0ft alt when you power up the receiver/sensor. You can manually reset it between flights (for instance if temerature or pressure changes has forced it to drift off) by using the 'reset telemetry' feature

I'm using this in my RC mower to read the voltage while mowing. Super handy
@the-happy-RC-flyer3 жыл бұрын
If you pull that off everyone will want one. Adding ArduPilot for waypoint lawn mowing would be a winner. Good luck with it.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer oh it's up and running, mowed with it yesterday. Works a treat and controller throws alarm sounds when voltage gets to low

There's an output and an input to the sensor. What is the input used for?
@the-happy-RC-flyer5 ай бұрын
This could be used to input the flight battery voltage.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer you mean it can be used in series with a nitro battery?
@the-happy-RC-flyer5 ай бұрын
@@artfulcarver3578 I would assume any battery up to the maximum allowable voltage but just use the two I put wires.

What plugs into the other end of the sensor. I cant quite catch it in the video.
@the-happy-RC-flyer Жыл бұрын
Hi Justin, you need to plug the battery lead into the balance plug of the battery and the servo style plug into the sensor pins in the receiver. Not all receivers have the sensor socket.

Thank you Bill. I operate the voltage sensor flawlessly. My challenge at the moment is to also read the temp sensor (same receiver, i6x radio)? Any tips?
@the-happy-RC-flyer3 жыл бұрын
What problem are you experiencing with the temp sensor? If it only has signal, ground and power like the voltage sensor then it sounds like any problems you are having will be with the telemetry settings in your radio which is interpreting the data, just guessing!
@arnoudwalrecht84793 жыл бұрын
@@the-happy-RC-flyer have it sorted! Wired both sensors through and that brings the data

Hi Bill great videos, could use some help. I have the setup done correctly and I am seeing voltage in my telemetry settings menu, but not in my widget's do you have an idea what's the problem.cheers
@the-happy-RC-flyer3 жыл бұрын
You need to make sure you are selecting the telemetry option for the widget in my video it is A3. Do not select -A3 or +A3 these will return the highest and lowest recorded voltage.

When using this device I'm assuming the device can remain plugged in to the cars ESC.. But the other connection needs to be reconnected when changing the each battery?

If you are balance charging yes you are correct.

This sensor needs to be connected to the receiver and to the sensor socket. Not all receivers have this option available.

Your receiver and radio will need to be compatible. I do have the FS i6x radio to check if it can receiver telemetry data.
