Review: Gecko 8-Key

I have this one as well! You were lucky to get the tassel and the lanyard in the same color. I received a green tassel and a blue lanyard in my shipment. So, I purchased a separate set of assorted colored tassels and match the colors. I also purchased a set of tines and changed this kalimba from G to C. I own 12 kalimbas, 4 of which are small with the hole for a lanyard. I call those “toy kalimbas”! My best are a Luna Percussion and a LingTing. I love them all and can’t stop seeing others that I want, lol! Somebody please STOP me! :)

Hi. I have this one as well. So adorable and have played many songs on it. Can be tricky to hold while playing. Was thinking that the smaller sound box that you made with a bit of the almighty nano tape to secure would be a good combo.

I am new to kalimba / music. I can’t seem to find tutorials for the keys on this kalimba?? And I can’t seem to find much information on the different keys. Do you have any suggestions?? I have this one and didn’t even realize that the keys would be different from others.

Thx Dawn for this review/info. I just started learning the kalimba and had first bought the 17 key newlam, then the regis 8 key kalimba. Right now, i'm debating which one to get- the hluru or the gecko 8 key K. Any recommendation? Thx again.🤗😊😎❤
