As a big Nolan Batman fan I really enjoy your detailed reviews (And I agree with your opinion on the aesthetic changes between suits from Begins to TDK). Re: The elbow pads-- I'm a customizer, and I really find small neodymium magnets to be a very useful and versatile tool. If you're able to get under the fabric of the sleeves and glue a very small one to the elbow, and then attach another very small one to the inside of the pad, that might be the cleanest/least invasive way to get them to stay attached to each other. The magnets are available as small as a few millimeters (they look like very tiny watch batteries, barely larger than the diameter of a coffee stirring straw). Hope that's helpful!

I prefer the Begins suit too, but the DX19 is well done versus the latest Begins, so I'm glad I have this one.

This was my first HT purchase and I love it. This figure blows away the Batman Begins figure. I will be getting the Jaxson custom cape that's all it needs.

It also needs custom shoulder pads accurate to the actual suit and minor adjustments to the neck/height of head and traps. Cowl can be improved as well, especially if you’d like to have a refined cowl with squintier eyes

He didn’t fight the same cause he was able to move better. The dark knight suit was more flexible. In Batman begins he was just hauling around some heavy armor that’s no good in a fight

My first and only hot toy. I think it’s great but it has issues. The batteries for the emp gun are awful to get it. The base is reused and has the lights from the previous version removed for some reason. Just seems cheap for a such a high price. I like it over all but i probably won’t get another. I would like the begins suit.

I bought this over the summer and I love it! I have the armory version (which was the first hot toys figure I ever bought back in 2015) and while I still like it, I’m glad I have a fresh version of this suit.

I got the DX19 head for the Armory and was pretty blown away as well. Didn't feel the need to "upgrade".

I took the dx19 batman sculpt and put that on my armory batman and then used the bale one on the dx19. They both look great now in my opinion. But the dx19 is my favorite one that hot toys has done. But that's just me. I just want them to make another nightmare batman, nurse joker and get the begins joker right

Definitely look into OT Custom's sculpt and shoulder pads for this guy Dean. It really does take the figure to 100% realism.

You could cut the elbow piece off the gauntlet and glue it down to the undersuit as a separate piece

To fix the elbow. all they had to do was take the trim off the gloves (the end that is under the gauntlet in the movie) and slide the gauntlets down.. 2 birds with 1 stone.. Dont know why they didn't.. the wrist would get more mobility too.. I have 2 DX19's might try it out with one of them

Good thing Hot Toys has made a new cowled hs for this new DX19 because the one that comes with Batman's armory looks like someone else and not Christian Bale wearing Batman's cowl.

First thing before I forget. With the gauntlets and the unsightly elbow area. I would cut the fucking flap off and glue it to the suit. I would straighten the arms so the elbow pad area is where it needs to be. Mark it out with a white pencil. Take the gauntlets off cut the elbow pieces off and glue them where they need to go. Wham bam thank you ma'am 😂😂😂😂

I had to come back and check out this video brother. Cuz I was thinking about picking this up so we can compete with my INART JOKER, size wise. 😂😂😂😂 I can't believe you're still talking about the elbow area. I totally agree it's a stupid design on Hot Toys part. The easy fix would be to cut the elbow piece off and glue it to the suit where the elbow is. Bada boom 💥 done. If I do end up getting the DX19, I will go back to my DX12 and I will do that just to show you how simple it would be 😱👍🏻👋🏻🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🍻🍻🍻🍻 At least you liked the DX19 more than you did the new release of the Batman begins figure which is unbelievably disgusting how they keep recycling the same figure

Good stuff, Dean. They difference in height is more substantial with the hot toys boots on the armory piece for sure. I put a DX19 together buying the lose parts on eBay and other parts sites. This allowed me to test fit parts from the armory guy on the DX19 body. The armory boots are smaller. The chest armor piece is removable and interchangeable but the armory piece is also smaller. Once I assembled the DX19 fully I could see the difference. Now I have the armory suit displayed in the armory.

The DX19 cowl looks a lot more accurate than the Amoury sculpt. It has a more bulbous look, as if it's packing in Bale's hair, and it scales better. The Armoury version, as good as it is, has too small a head and if it didn't have the cowl on would look tiny. I do like my DX19 but fully agree with most of your observations. The only area where I slightly disagree (slightly because I too would have preferred a more intense expression in the eyes and mouthpiece) is that I don't mind the neutral look. it reminds me of Bale's expression when he's looking at the Joker during the early part of the interrogation scene. I wonder if Inart will tackle this piece, and if so, whether they'll master the mystery of the elbows? I do hope they make the "Begins" figure first though. As always, a great viewing Dean! The DX19 The Dark Knight Trilogy Batman looks so much better than the Batman Begins version. The quality and accuracy of the figure is like a night and day difference in comparison. The box art looks good. The head sculpt is absolutely spot on accurate in terms of Christian Bale's likeness. The cowl looks great. However, the gap at the neck area is a bit jarring. It would've been nice if the head sculpt was a bit more flush with the neck. I really like the suit, but that's just my own opinion. I don't mind the interchangeable mouth pieces, but once again, that's just my personal opinion. Though, a more serious facial expression would've been appreciated, especially for a character such as, Batman. Of course, the most annoying thing is in regards to the elbow pads that protrude outward when you bend the arms. I looked at some screenshots from The Dark Knight and the elbow pads don't jut out. The figure comes included with some nice accessories. I like the display stand as well, even though it's reused. By the way, the custom cape takes the figure to another level. It's a massive improvement over the stock cape. I bought the Hot Toys DX19 The Dark Knight Trilogy Batman 1/6th scale figure from my local comic book store as soon as they received it and it was definitely worth it. It's an amazing piece, aside from a few annoyances here and there. Thanks, once again Dean for another wonderful video! I really appreciate the continued hard work! Keep it up! I've had this figure for a couple of months now. And I've yet to display it! Watching your video, gives me enough enjoyment.. that I don't have to rush to open it. It's like opening my figure, without opening my figure! Thankx Dean. I'm curious as to how Hot Toys can do so well with the dx19, but completely screw up the recent Batman begins figure.

I kinda like the armory head on the DX19. I know it’s too small to be accurate, but it only serves to accentuate the stature of the rest of the body, which makes him look beefier and more in-line with the Batman Begins look to me

At least the fifth time with this same release, It actually looks like they've been upgrading 👏🏻😳 But still they keep re-releasing figures they've done already numerous times. For example the Batman begins suit is a failure. Hot toys should just stick to Star wars in marvel figures because they do those well. Good riddance hot toys. We'll just go after other companies now
