I acquired a used IR 60 gallon 2-stage (probably an older model than this) back in October 2023. It needs some minor repairs, but this video has helped me understand some of what is involved in how to understand what is involved in the installation.

If the tank doesn't rot out first. You DON'T want to see what happens when a big tank like that EXPLODES from a rusted out tank (on the inside where you can't see).

Good luck!!! Hope it still works!! I bought the same one in October of 2022. Put an hour meter on it, and have used it for 1.1 hours, and it threw a rod. 😢

Nice air compressor! Maybe i missed it, but where did you get your comp mounting pads?

I purchased those pads from Home Depot. Pretty readily available part!

What flexible wire did you use when creating the plug line?

I went to Home Depot, and got wire that would be appropriate for dryers. 220 with two hot lines and a ground. There is a section where they have a variety you can choose from and an associate can help cut it to length.

Great compressor, I have the 80 gal version. Just one thing, it needs to be broken in.

Tell your wife that the Dewalt has a 50% duty cycle & your IR has a 100% duty cycle. And they cost the same.

You bought the wrong compressor it won't hold up.

@@johnpasella8187 put a magnetic pressure switch on it. it will help the China motor. my motor went out in 8 months.

Tell your wife looks doesn’t always matter. I mean she married you didn’t she? 😂😂 jk jk. I recently bought this compressor and my wife honestly said the same thing. But I think she mainly wanted me to get the DeWalt because it was much cheaper. But I wanted the Ingersoll-Rand because overall it’s a better compressor.

Just wondering why everybody shoves a compressor against a wall and leaves no room to work on it, change a belt etc. also have you noticed all videos where a compressor cuts on how loud and anoying it is,

I just bought one in nov of 2023. So many threads and clips i agree with the most clips and thread's. They are junk. Harbor freight makes better stuff. Drain valve finger tight. Air filter hosuing screwed in by 1 thread. Pump leaks oil. I wouldnt recommend or buy again. Assembly with pride in America. Well theres no pride.
