I think so yeah. The keys have an o-ring at the bottom that dampens the sound. It makes it a light click that is only slightly louder than most bubble keyboards. It all depends on how hard you type too.

Alright I like what I see here. I think I'm gonna go buy this. Looking at the choices of Cherry MX switches, I'm interested in the Browns because they most closely match my ROG laptop's scissor switches with the tactile feedback without the clicky sound. I found a local store that carries the G710+ in stock, so came here to see the review. Thanks!!

I think you may be wrong about the whole "USB 3.0" thing. And by think, I mean know, since I just got my new keyboard that you recommended to us! Oh boy, this thing is going to take a while to get used to. The install manual guide thing said it was USB 2.0, but might be a typo, but you can usually tell because of it being a blue color instead of white. Regardless, loving it already. And this comment is LITERALLY the first thing I used this bad boy for!

I have a LeVetron mech 5 Gaming Keyboard that I have been using for almost a year and I will be making a review when a year finally rolls around. For a mouse I use Logitech G602 and I love them both.

The coloration on the directional keys is for lefty's that actually use the mouse with their left hand so they would consequently have to use the arrow keys opposed to wasd, I have never known anyone to do so but they exist, (I am a lefty myself but use the keyboard normally)

After 3 days, I have a BROKEN KEYCAP. It 's a HUGE problem on this Keyboard (ask google). It's a great keyboard, but the keycaps sucks. And it's about 50$ to get the alpha numeric keycaps replaced (and 15$ for just 1 keycap!!! (2$ keycap and 13$ shipping!!!!)) . Also I find that the switch are a little bit gripping (if you know what I mean). Maybe it needs a little bit of lube, but it's brand new...

Actually, the Logitech K740, the ultra thin illuminated keyboard, which i am typing on right now and bought about 4 years ago, is mechanical. Just because a keyboard isn't Cherry MX, does not mean it is membrane dome. It uses a scissor or collapsing X style mechanism and allow the keyboard to be very thin and flat.

That sounds like a laptop keyboard design (ie membrane), with the scissor actuation. But I might be wrong. Also membrane isn't as bad as people say.

this keyboard is total carbage, atleast the non-refresh version (not sure if the problems are issued in that one) simply because it falls apart in normal use. I had my normal logitech dome keyboard for 3 years and it served well and i decided to upgrade to the g710+, which was a horrible mistake. I've now used this for about a year and about 3 months from my purchase the first keycap broke.(the X hole in the bottom where the switch and the cap meet) few weeks from that 2 other keys broke and i ordered new replacement caps for the specific keys. Since then 8 caps have broken and im really frustrated.(none of the ones that i ordered) THIS KEYBOARD IS A JOKE! I did not pay 120 euros for this kinda build quality. the old 20e keyboard held up better than this. On the positive side is ofc the nice typing expirience and good media controls and lightning. 2/5.

Juhana Kaarlehto wow that sucks! 3 years so far and I haven't had any issues with the keyboard on my end. I wonder if there was a new version out that has better staying power for the keys? I've seen some other comments that say that the keys break as well.

+LordSevein i absolutely love this keyboard. the only con i found was only white LEDs so i replaced the w,a,s,d and the directional key's LEDs to orange (my whole set up is black+orange). It made my desk look so much better with such a little thing lol. BTW great job on the review. (:

omg so cool i got this keyboard also for the past year... my old logitech g27 died.. this keyboard is insane... mechanical + always... but do you use the g keys? i find them placed stupid... and never use them.. Typing is a bliss on the keyboard.. I also use the logitech g502 mouse (old mouse was razer naga) the mouse is perfect but the snipe button is placed stupid.. i don;t use it anyway.. As a headset i use ... G430.. (old one was g35 it broke) the headset is the same as the old g35 but no buttons on headset never use it anyway.... i plan in buying the blue snowball to record audio for producing .. what is your opinion for blue snowball? like the video review keep going on !! also that cherry brown blue red thing .. i like it when my keyboard goes clackity clack... but other people around you hate it hahah ...

I really like the browns because they are both good for typing and gaming. I recommend the blues if you're about gaming %100 meaning you barely need to type but I don't really know if they're decent for typing. Go with blue if you want because I am a fan of the clickiness. Same thing with browns but the click isn't audible and the same thing I explained in the top.

You can still game in blues just that its ment for typing and peoples opinions on blues when gaming aren't too big on it. Its used for the clicky feeling. The last sentence sums it up.

I don't get why my Keyboard lights on the Caps Lock and Num Lock and the other lights on the top right corner just cycle through. I mean they'll be off but then the light goes on and turns off and then turns back on agaun

LordSevein Well lots, ESC,T,leftCTRL,F3,F2,3 and probably more that is starting to crack. If you search g710+ keys broken on google, you're gonna see alot of posts about it.

Simen André I agree. This is an expensive keyboard that is pretty delicate. I've broken the left control key twice and the alt key once. Logitech won't just send new keys, if that were the case I'd just stock up on the keys I break. If it is still under warranty, you have to send it back for repair/replacement. Works great for standard typing..... so that's something.

+Jeffrey Paguio The other one has cherry blue keys which make a louder clicker sound when pressed so they are geared more towards typist. Most fps gamers will prefer reds or browns but some still like blue.

I play League of Legends ALOT. On my old keyboard my go to quick keys were 1/2.. On this keyboard everything is so much further or so it feels on my hands so now its 4/5. I use QWER dominantly and D/F Occassionly. I find it really hard to go from E to 4 or R to 5 very quickly without having to look down or I misclick a key. Any tips on how to maybe set up a good key binding or something?

It's actually pretty simple - you just pop off the key and use any narrow object (screwdriver, knife, toothpick, etc.) to pop off the o ring. You then pop the key back on the board and use it normally. The action feels just about the same it's just noticeably louder without the rings. Like 50% more. You could even keep the rings in a bag to use later should you decide to switch back.

Gigabyte OSMIUM is better than this as the reportedly the key caps don't break so easy and very little back-light bleed for the led Light. Also USB3, which is important.

I disliked this video.. because I have this keyboard, the first two weeks some of the LEDs starts blinking and then died... I replaced it at the store with another one, the same thing happened.. a few of the LEDs started blinking again and then died suddenly in just the first two weeks. A quick google shows this is a common problem with this keyboard, that means only one thing, there is no QC done on these keyboards before they were shipped. For the price, the quality is unacceptable.
