This video is what made me decide to get it. I saw it came with a reusable filter but was afraid it would be some proprietary hole size or something and your vid shows that it looks like it will accept a regular old filter if it ever breaks; at least if it's 12 cups or under. Thanks for a thorough review!

Use Bunn coffee filters. They are basket shaped. They are taller than paper filters that you find in a supermarket and will handle 7 level scoops of coffee to make 14 cups of coffee.

I just bought it from Walmart. $70. No brew basket and the manual was a single piece of paper. I guess they don’t make them like they used to!

Bought 2/08/24 used almost 2 mos.until 04/26/24 . Made coffee shut off ok. Then turn back on warmer and would not go off.

I just bought this today bc I want the Bonavita but it's not in the cards this payday. I tried the strong brew and overflowed my filter (I used a disposable one) OOPS. I LOVE how easy it is to use the different settings. Great for the am BEFORE you've had coffee. Mine measured about 174F, so not horrible. I'm still in love with it. We drink a LOT of coffee and take coffee to work in the am, so the size is brilliant. All in all, I think it's a good value for the money.

I did the same thing with another 14 cup coffee maker. Are you using 14Cup disposable coffee filters? Most Basket type coffee filters are for 10-12 Cup Coffee Makers.

@@JustADad Nah, I just had the regular ones. After watching your video, I used the reusable filter it came with, and VIOLA ;) no problems. Also, as an update, I bought a Krups blade grinder and some Dunkin Donuts beans at the same time. I've run 2 pots of really bloody good coffee through this maker now. I'm wildly in love :D

@@JustADad I bought it because this payday I just didn't have the $ to shell out $100 or more on a "better" burr grinder. Also, I watched a video review of it, and it looked like it made decent grinds, which it does! Certainly for the price, which was $14 at WM. I spent $49.96 on the maker, $14 on the grinder, and approx $7 on the coffee beans--and honestly I'm LOVING the coffee I brewed. :D

If you were interested in getting the filter it goes inside of the coffee pot I contacted Mr. coffee and they said if it did not come with the unit they would gladly send out a free one to the owner

What is the point of the 1-4 cup button? Just bought one for my girlfriend and expected it to only brew 4 cups max but it still brews however much water you put in? Are we doing something wrong?

i am getting white particles on the clear tube and also in the top of the coffee pot . it's probably in the reservoir as well, but harder to see. i've cleaned it as per instructions, but it keeps happening. can i remove the back and remove the tube to clean it by hand? what can be causing the white crud???? very concerned about what i'm drinking in my coffee. thanks

Is it normal for the Keep Warm warming plate set at 4 hours to make a snapping or clicking noise about every couple minutes? Would this be a thermostat noise inside the warming plate itself? This is a brand-new Coffeemaker I just bought.

Any ideas why it takes so long to brew? Ours takes about 30 minutes to brew and a full 14 cup only gives us 8-9 cups of coffee. Can't figure out how to get it to make 14 cups of coffee.

I've slowly grown to have some gripes with this coffee maker. First off, it's loud, which you can definitely hear in your video. Coming from my old 14 cup Cuisinart which only made that sound towards the end of the cycle, it's irritating. Secondly, the design of the carafe is awkward. Having large hands means I can not get my hand inside easily to wash this thing out. Third, the water filter that yours was missing is not a standard size. I cannot for the life of me find replacement filters that are not Mr. Coffee brand, which means $6+ per filter. Fourth, the layout of the area you pour the water into has two design issues. First, filling the pot even just slightly past the 14 cup mark will overflow the back reservoir. Second! Having the coffee sprayer stick out the way it does means you have limited space to pour the water in, and due to the plastic insert at the top of the pot you can't actually pour out all the water without holding the carafe well above the appliance and pouring. I always end up having to dump some water back into the sink because I can't tilt the carafe enough to empty it.
