they both use "power lines" of racquets, so the sync string probably helps dial in these racquets. for the more control-oriented racquets like prestige, cx, or pro staff, it might be swayed

Prostaff is power oriented too, just less stable in the layup

Looking forward to the hybrid review. Haven't seen any other channels (yet) that have released an in-depth review! I have a reel of Zero and several Toroline strings. Gonna pair Zero (main) with Wasabi X (cross) Apparently, it's a game changer! It would be interesting to see future videos of blending, Restring and Toroline hybrids!

@@kennethyeong1251 Grapplesnake Tour Sniper is a heavily touted string from TennCom. I've personally haven't tried it, but not sure that's what I'm looking for. I just dropped off my racquets to be strung with Zero/Wasabi X, and Toro Toro/Wasabi X. I didn't like Wasabi w/Wasabi X.... it had "zero" launch angle and felt pretty muted...even at 36lbs. Hoping these new hybrids will give me what I'm looking for. (Coming from a guy who's been using Gamma Jet 17g (mains) and a round poly in the crosses)

@ManuelGomez-wg3hr7 ай бұрын
I have 49 mean and 48 cross strings on my head speed MP. My impression is that it has a great balance between power and control. Also it feels a bit lively too. Personally I would love to increase the control a bit, so I may try with 50/51 on mean or maybe just sync could be the best for me? . I need time, although this blend got me quite satisfied so far.

I blended solinco confidential in the mains with sync in the cross. I love the feel. A little more liveliness and control than a full bed of confidential. But the real benefit is the spin is enhanced and the playability is extended at least 2x for me. Confidential maintains feel throughout life of string, but typically loses spin after 3 hours. However, with sync in the cross the spin feels lossless after 2 hitting sessions.

@@davech07 oh OK by the way I tried to restring for the first time ever last night and it was beautiful. I did one racket at 52/49 and the other at 48/45. Both hybrids zero/sync. For the first time ever my racket kept the balls inside the court and it felt great at the net and my slices were amazing and easy to produce. The serve also felt perfect. I don't have a very huge full swing so I liked the 48/45 better and when it's easier on the arm/wrist.

@@J-dog2023That's great to hear. After some confusion with my stringer, I ended up with a full bed of Zero in my Speed Pro. Against expectation in an 18-20 bed, it was great - I played the best two hours of tennis in my life. How can an 18-20 string bed produce this much topspin? I found myself hitting harder than ever on the forehand and landing the ball on the service line - took a while for me to back off the spin to play deeper. I expected control to be limited but it was great. I expected so-so on volleys, but it was crisp with great control. I've never laughed so much on a tennis court! I've got an old Prestige Microgel with a full bed of Sync at 46/46. Not got enough hours on it yet but feels like I've got the strings too tight - I'll drop right down to 42 next time. Also got Graphite Radical Pro with zero/sync, which I can't really gel with. Lot's of power and spin, but no ball pocketing, not much feel and a not enough control. It's strung at 50/50 and I now think this is way too high in a 98" players frame. When I restring the Speed Pro, I'll go for a full bed of Sync with mains at 46 and crosses at 44lbs. Sync seems more sensitive to over-tension than Zero.

What would you guys recommend for the volkl v-cell 4 16x19? I plan to do hybrid. Zero in the mains and sync in the crosses? The racket recommends 46-60. Racket power is medium. Mains higher than crosses or visa-versa? Btw, I bought the thicker gauges of each one cuz I want more control. 48/46? 46/48? 52/50? 50/52? 50/48? 48/50?
@ph-tennis21 күн бұрын
In terms of string, decide whether you want it to feel more Zero-y or more Sync-y! Then go for your preferred as the main. Sounds like Zero in the mains might be the best for the Volkl V-Cell (although admittedly, I've barely played with that frame). As for tension, this is something you might need to play around with. I'd favour going slightly lower with the crosses so given your options, 50/48 for me. But remember, it's all personal preference
@J-dog202316 күн бұрын
@@ph-tennis @ it's a medium kind of powerful racket and every string has been a bit too powerful I just hope lowering the tension isn't going to make it worse. I have it at 54 and the other one at 55. I have 2 rackets of the same. Now I will try hybrids....I hope both gauges at the thickest will help. I plan on doing one with zero at 52 and sync at 50 and the other with zero at 48 and sync at 50. Both with Zero at the mains. UPDATE: I did 52/49 and the other racket 48/45. Will test soon.

Come on guys! What about the review of the RESTRING Zero / Sync HYBRIDS?! How does that play? Which plays better in the mains? What tension differential did you find was best between them? INQUIRING MINDS NEED TO KNOW!
Thanks for the video? Why did Josh not string his preferred gauge of Zero? I agree playing on fast grass courts will definitely favor a less spinny string as flat shots and slices will be more useful. Is there any diff in tension maintenance b/w sync and zero? how long can you fellows play w/ the strings before they feel dead (compared to say Hyper G or Wasabi Pro?)

@@drsompoch awesome so did you stick with those strings and that tension or did you change it up after that and what is your set up lately? I have two Volkl v-cell4 rackets. I really want to love the rackets but all the strings I have used still don't make me love the rackets. I'm hoping restring will change my mind. I set both rackets up with restring. One is 52/49 and the other is 48/45. Both zero on the mains and sync in the crosses. I have not tested them at all yet. I am looking for spin and control because I just can't keep the balls in the court they always shoot out past the back line no matter what string I use. Too powerful, even at 55 lbs full bed cyclone. But this time I'm trying to restring and I'm trying a hybrid with the different tensions. Hopefully this will fix my problem. UPDATED
