Review on this industrial borescope inspection camera made by Teslong. This is their NTS300 model with a dual lens, 8mm diameter probe, and 16.5ft of cable. It has a 5000mah lithium-ion battery that has 4.5 hours of work time. The tool features a 5 inch IPS display, this is better than an LED display as it has a better quality image due to improved clarity and crispness. It has a tempered glass screen so it’s able to withstand abuse in a professional environment guaranteeing a long service life. The screen resolution is 854x480 pixels. Next on the side of the monitor is a rubber cover where you can access the charging port and SD card. This borescope does come with a 32 GB microSD card. #toolreviews #teslong #mechanical

The camera cable is 16.5 feet in length. This is their larger 8 mm version which features two cameras. One directly at the front and one on the side at 90°. Both cameras feature LED lights to help with viewing in dark spaces. This is a two megapixel HD camera that has an IP 67 rating. This means that the camera is protected against dust completely and is protected against water submersion up to 1 m or 1 yard for 30 minutes. The camera resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels and has a viewing angle of 70°. The probe connects to the monitor by a screw-on tip and is equipped with a button to alternate between the front-facing and side view cameras.
Included are two detachable tips. One is a magnetic tip and the other is a hook tip for retrieving any objects. There is a ring around the camera probe, this can be removed and then these attachments can be screwed on. When the ring is in place, this protects the threads so they do not get damaged during regular usage. This is great for retrieving any objects such as tools you’ve lost, clips, fasteners, or even grabbing any wiring that needs to be directed through a certain area.
This is a great addition to anyone’s toolbox regardless if you’re a professional in a field or at home DIYer. In vehicle applications, this can be used to inspect behind body panels to determine if there were any replacements or damage, check to see if a frame is solid especially with tubular designs, inspect for any leaks around an engine, view in behind panels, inspect combustion chambers, inspect intake runners, etc. Beyond automotive use, it can be used in plumbing, electrical, etc.
Overall this is an extremely well-built camera that is a must-have addition to anyone’s toolbox. If you’re doing a vehicle or house inspection, this can potentially save you quite a bit of money just in one use.
