Played the 90 RF and 97 RF for long time. Became too heavy in the end . And 97 _315g was too stiff for me. So question how about stiffness on the new one? Always loved the feedback of the PS which is unmatched.

Pro Staff (PS) 95??? Think you mean OG PS 85, that was the iconic PS that Federer (Sampras, Edberg, Courier & many other top pros) used. Federer only played the PS 85 for a short period & then switched to the PS 90 (that he won 17 of his slams with) before moving to the RF97 in 2014. Federer never used a 95 fyi....

How it compare x 14 to speed pro 2022 in terms of Control and spin? Thanks great explain between the both pro staff

Thanks for the comment Joao! We’ve had a few people ask something similar. I would say it matches (or even outperforms) the Speed for control but probably creates less spin. This hugely depends on your play style though so it’s definitely worth testing the X

How does the X compare with the head extreme tour auxetic in terms of spin and feel? Which is better for a modern whippy stroke?

Thanks for the question. For a ‘modern, whippy stroke’ I would suggest the Extreme. The ‘X’ is a love towards that style but still has its foundations in Pro Staff-ness!

True, but it was 305g, not 315g like the X. So arguably not a ‘real’ Pro Staff 😁

Planing to switch my current frame (Head Extreme Tour 360+) I play one handed backhand and I have an aggressive play style. How does the prostaff compare to the extreme tour? Do you think it will be the right stick for me? I have few other frames in my mind like the New Auxetic extreme tour, Blade 98 and Vcore 2023 Which one should I go for?

It’s impossible to know what’s best for you, only you can know that! All I can suggest is you watch our reviews (all those rackets are covered) and see if that gives you a steer. The ProStaff is the most different to the other rackets and quite a departure from the Extreme, but all the above mentioned are excellent - so down to personal preference.

love the prostaff but cant handle the 97. used to play with the prostaff 100inch like 10 years ago ( cant remember the model but its a mutli coloured frame what a sandy grey). must agree that the 100inch just have the prostaff name foe people who like the prostaff name...me included ...dun care if its a real prostaff...always love brown n prostaff...both checked!

Is the X main strings longer or crosses? Where did they add 3 inches

Interesting question! The 3” is added across the whole head, but with a greater increase at the tip, so the mains are slightly longer.

"it's a heavy racket 315g" is this guy serious, got mine weightet up to 341g and very maneuverable easy to swing have no problem finding power Only problem I had was serves were going long could be strung weight 54pounds gonna bump it up to 57pounds see how that works...

Pro Staff X is is garbage and totally erratic , the 97 is far superior and not that much harder to play with.
