I ordered my DCT ES version earlier today; thank you for confirming I made the right choice Mossy. Great review, particularly given your experience with the previous version.

I think this bike will do so well, if it will be sold in the USA. The DCT is remarkable. I own it on my 20 Goldwing and I simply will not go back to shifting ever again.

I have read that it will be selling in the US this next summer.

I will never go to DCT for as long as I live. We are ever so slowly going towards a future where we will be able to sit on the pillion seat and let the bike ride itself. Is that really where we want to be going? There is a fine line between convenience and laziness.
@alp3781Күн бұрын
@@gerrycout7845 Respect to your feeling. Honda changed my riding habits for good. If the GW had a quick shifter option, I would get one, like the K1600. I wonder if the E-Clutch will be an option on the 26 model.
@gerrycout78452 күн бұрын
I will have the manual transmission with the standard suspension please. 👌🏼 Sounds like a great bike. I do my own suspension work (regular oil change) so the simplicity of a regular transmission is important to me. As for the transmission, what’s the fun in having the bike shift for me. The pleasure of riding a motorcycle has always been the interactions between man and machine. The more they automate, the farther away we are going from what a motorcycle was meant to be. There’s a fine line between convenience and laziness my friends. Stay safe out there.

Great review Mossy! As always you do not focus on stats but on driving experience and feedback instead. This is much more interesting to hear. How did you get along with the seat height and weight of the NT as this is a big step up from the NC 750X?
@rdc3397Ай бұрын
A very good, highly relevant, question. I wonder if it will be answered 🤔🥳
@dragoclarke9497Ай бұрын
I have the previous version, but seat height and weight are the same I believe. I'm 178cm tall and 73kg with an inside leg of 77.5cm/31" (but I wear jeans with a 80cm/ 32" inside leg). I find the seat height no problem and can get both feet down very safely. The weight is quite low down in my opinion and that gives it a well balanced feel and makes it seem much lighter that the specification suggests. I only did 16000km (10,000 miles) this year but if the weather isn't so wet I hope to beat that in 2025. A great bike whichever model you get.

Chris doesn't strike me as someone who would interact in the comments section, but it would be great to know how he finds this model as an upgrade to an NC750X, as he was riding both models for an extended time. I recon a lot of NC750X riders out there see this as their potential upgrade. Cheers!

In Australia they don’t sell well, most would be Adventure riders go for the Africa Twin Variant . Took the manual 23 model for a sixty km test ride , loved it, but ended up with the cheaper Trans Alp, which is lighter and still goes , with good wind protection with taller screen. Are you a Geordie?

And this NT 1100 is NOT available in the USA. It is so very disappointing that Honda won't allow this great bike to be sold here. I know many many of us would be buying this bike. Especially us older guys. Please sell the NT 1100 in the USA Honda.

Would you take this or the Tracer 9GT+?
@lr_spbАй бұрын
As someone who's owned both, I’d go for the 9 GT+ every time. The Yamaha’s just got that edge-proper engaging, a cracking engine, and way more fun in the saddle. Plus, the new GT+ comes kitted out with everything you could want, radar cruise and all. Proper bit of kit, that.

@lr_spb just a shame the 2025 bike is fugly

@@stonkerontheroad9609a gustos colores, a mi la tracer 9 2025 me gusta. En cambio la nt1100 la veo muy sosa muy parecida a un scooter como el xadv ..

Different folks I suppose. I tested both and chose the Honda for better comfort, suits me doing over 16000 km per year.

Why oh why can you not buy the manual version with electronic suspension. And yes they have sorted most of the problems but they should have sorted that mad switch gear .
