This is one of the best turkish restaurants, we've been loads of time and the tea is top up without extra charge. I always eat of the menu . you can go round the back of the restaurant and 3 sinks to wash your hands. Dems in crystal palace are also good.

Hi Gary and Mr Cameraman, well it was great to see a Turkish review today, and you clearly picked a good one. What an amazing price for all that food, and it was in house made also, even free Turkish tea and no service charge. I think this is one clip that NO one will knock for the price. I have noticed that Turkish food is becoming a lot more popular now and good on it if its any thing like your meal today. Chris.

Nice video as always Gary ! / Wow, that main menu looks amazing! / This is such and interesting video - I will admit that most of my kebab experience over perhaps 32 years has been vans etc, some terrible, but some really good. So it is really interesting to see you eat at a restaurant - the main course "looks" like something i have eaten before (from a van !), so really interested to see what you think - will let you dig in / Have travelled lots to the Middle East for work and hummus has been a variable beast! Are you supposed to eat it with the bread, or just as it comes?! I think the combination of the kebab and the salad is good value and "bulk". Even in my "van" days I used to say - " all the meats, all the salads and all the sauces" - that makes a good plate of food, just as you have there. / Yep, clearly that is a nice plate of food. Cheers , Mark .

Hey Gary, great you gave this a try. As a German with like a long standing kebab history in our country, I can assure you that's not the limit of turkish cuisine. I.e. that is "ground beef" versus the layered beef you get at quality kebab stores. The salad looks decent but still all in all this would maybe be an average Kebab dish in a bigger town. If I can recommend you something, then go recheck german kebab culture if you ever get the chance or directly enjoy them in Istanbul. You ain't getting more authentic than that :). Id still eat it, as it looks good, but it's far from top notch!

Hi Gary. Today's made you look like you'd swallowed a wasp! Looked fab for the price. Homemade, presented home-style. No frills, plenty of thrills. Nice. Never tried homemade kebab meat; I don't think anywhere around here (Belper, Derbys) serves it. I attempted it at home during Lockdown #1 and tbh it was a tad - er - 'underwhelming'. Your channel is a pleasure to watch as you are such a nice presenter. (Being a 'nice' person is a complement!). I prefer Ottoman food to modern Turkish, Ottoman has many more rich tomato based sauces. Modern Turkish food is more kebab/salad/bread. When I worked in an unrecognised country all we had were eggs, halloumi, lamb, yoghourt, tomato and cucumber, and bread. You got to know the best kebab restaurants, they made the kebabs themselves and they were incredible. Your meal looked enjoyable, the kebab looked really good.

Brave man trying that pepper 🥵 That donner looks epic. I stay for work a bit in Ealing so I may have a trip out. I’m off tomorrow for a Turkish in Liverpool for Elif. It’s epic and they have a great lunchtime menu first. I’ve booked as they queue down Bold Street even in the rain to get in!

Something different,great stuff, look appetising and value for money . Turkish tea or Yorkshire tea ? Once again fair review Gary
@GaryEats9 ай бұрын
Wow that’s a close one. Yorkshire tea for the winter, Turkish tea for the summer!

OK you did it, had to pause this one and go into kitchen, starving. So 3 meat pastie type triangles, can’t pronounce the Slavic name, quail eggs boiled, my own homemade cabbage sauerkraut, sweet chilli and fried couple slices buckwheat bread 😂 surprisingly the fried bread was excellent and all your fault. Now next year if you pass Kyiv call in and hopefully I will have a cafe/cocktail bar open 🎉 Ulster fry & mutton Irish stew Keep up the great reviews
