If you're planning on doing this I would suggest at lease removing tour rear seat and build a bed back there. There are videos showing how to do it. If its raised off the floor you will have storage under your bed.

Gotcha. keep in mind you need good rest when you're on the road. There have been some folks cut a piece of plywood to set on the seat but wider with a couple of legs to support it then a piece of memory foam. You wouldn't have to attach it and it could be removed easily when you're home.

1 grease your goose neck ball 2 get your trailer wiring off your tailgate. DOT friction point. 3 never put your breakaway trailer cable on the same location as your safety chains. 4 STAY out od North Carolina. They don't like non CDL hotshots. They say any combination over 10,001 requires a CDL. 5 make sure your tag registration is set up to 26K. If not big over weight DOT fine. 6 carry 2 spares for trailer, wheel bearing sets, 1 leaf spring. 1 oil/grease hub cap. 6 make this hotshot thing temporary. These trucks are not meant to last over the road constantly hauling. 7 good luck, your gonna need it fella..

@@jamesroberts3494 Sure, so you will want to go to your state’s Secretary of State website to apply for your LLC. For your MC, you will need to go to the FMCSA website and type DOT application

Aye homie, just my understanding. Your truck gvwr is 10,000 and trailer is rated for 14,000=24,000-16,060=7,940lbs. You're trailer gvwr should be rated for 16,000lbs. That you give you 2000lbs more to put on the deck. I hope this gives you a better understanding. Good luck

Interesting I was driving a semi one time coming out of Houston. I went thru the scale and they made me pull over and adjust my fifth wheel to distribute the weight so my drive axles wouldn’t be over weight. I no your non Cdl but I thought you also have to be under the max axle weight as well.

It’s truck and trailer GVWR over 26,000 lbs requires CDL. If you are under 26,000 lbds GVWR than you are not required CDL

You have to look carefully at the fmcsa wording, you need a cdl when you are over 26,000lbs AND carrying a trailer over 10k lbs

So to keep it simple, if your truck GVWR is 10,000. Your trailer GVWR will need to be 16,000 or under to haul non cdl
