Hard disagree. The most anabolic pants are the yellow leggings he wears where you can see the leg veins popping through

The ability to gracefully press 200 pound dumbbells (whether on anabolics or not), is inspiring. Watching Ronnie handle free weights is like watching a symphony play in complete coordination.

Ronnie was the epitome of anabolic. I've heard just being in the same city as him increases muscle activation and growth by at least 20%

Ronnie used to be known for having weaker triceps, but his triceps are huge. His long head is massive. He just doesnt have a thick lateral head even though it's totally striated.
@HypertrophyCoach

Huge. He really just didn’t have great insertions/tendons. So not as impressive triceps muscle bellies is someone like Roelly (watch my video on genetics if you haven’t)

25:22 - to be fair, the long head should be doing shoulder extension there together with the rear delts and you can even see a bit of traps there. the torque on the biceps would be tiny because they would be almost perpendicular to the weight
@HypertrophyCoach
@HypertrophyCoach 3 ай бұрын
For sure! It’s really just more so the ROM and the muscle length that makes it somewhat useless

the only workout of Ronnie I have seen that looks really ugly is biceps. His preachers look awful. Everything else is really good. People think speed = bad form for some reason.
@earthrot666

yea i think somewhere along the line people arbitrarily started using the word "slow" when they meant "controlled" so then everything that's a bit faster is sloppy.

Hey joe, great Video as always. I have two Questions for you (sorry for any gramatic or writing mistakes, I am from germany): The shorter your arm is and the more narrow the pec is attatched to the elbow, the easier a benchpress should be right? Another question i have is: When you do a curl and your forearm and upper arm have an angle of 90 degrees, the angle between the tendon of the biceps which is attached to the forearm would also be 90 degrees. That would mean the mucle has to work harder in the lengthend to mid position than in the mid to shortend position right? Thats just phisics in my opinion. But i have never seen anybody talk about angles between bones and tendons. Is this a real thing or just overthinking to much? greetings from germany

I joined a gym with prime, Atlantis and Panama machines and wow what a big difference. I had problems when pressing due to shoulder issues, but these machines just set my arms on the right path and everything lit up. The difference can not be overlooked Amazing

On dumbbell press aside from just keeping your chest high, what should you be doing or thinking about with your shoulder blades and back? Do you want to think about retracting and pulling your shoulder blades back?

Your content is lightyears better than mike israetel and jeff nippard. Agree that people serious about lifting should prioritize having a deeper understanding of joint torque, moment arms, direction of force, resistance profiles, etc. on their exercises

His lower back issues dates from before his heavy training. Probably didn't help, but the training in itself didn't cause them

@@davidkosiba624 That's for sure. On the "weight" side of things Ronnie is probably one of the worst case, but at least he's still here. Many pass away way earlier

@@jonselair Yeah I think his problem was the training and not the stuff he took , I think he was the one who said that the top guys probably take less stuff than some middle placed guy so this is probably why you don't see top guys die early , hell Arnold , Lee , Dorian still alive too

I think you're playing it safe when it comes to his way of performing exercises, but the reality is that Coleman wasn’t the brightest. He used older machines and outdated techniques, and at some point, his approach will be obsolete. That doesn’t mean he didn’t work hard-he had amazing genetics, followed his passion, ate well, and trained consistently over the years. But when you hear him speak and look at his life decisions regarding finances, family, and injury management, you realize he might not have been that smart. In any other sport or science, there’s nothing wrong with saying, 'There are better ways of doing it.' It's like buying a new smartphone, you expect improvements, corrections, and more efficient (and complicated) ways of doing the same thing. Yet, for some reason, some people at the gym seem to have only two brain cells and think outdated exercises are better just because they're considered foundational.
@HypertrophyCoach
@HypertrophyCoach 3 ай бұрын
Do you have any specific examples of how I’m “playing it safe”? And I’m not sure what exactly you think will be obsolete? I don’t even think you could point to anything specific you label as “his approach”. Things exist on a spectrum, and it will be subtle progression over time.
