How do you get the Limited Edition v4? I read your guy's article talking about how it is going to be released on the 20th but I can't find it. I really want to get it and I was wondering if you guys know how to get it.

4:00 I think the reason the auto-alignment doesnt work is because of the predator magnets, the repelling force is stronger than the attracting force of the bc. If they got rid of the predator magnets, the bc would have more effect. One thing to note is that because starting a turn is harder from the repelling magnets, it means you use more force which will propel the layer past the next set of predator magnets, meaning it will always align. I still think the repelling magnets are a bad idea since the ballcore gives enough stability, especially on higher settings.

Point is, they made something amazing then attempt to make it "better" instead of keeping it the way people liked it. Since then (id argue since gan 11) they kept trying to "fix" it with later iterations only to make it worse every single time.

My very first main was the Tornado V1 about 8 years ago, I used the TV2 and 3 as mains as well. I'm so excited the version 4 is already released, I'll buy it right now.

Hey speedcubeshop! Recently my tornado V3 pioneers center piece snapped and in my area I am unable to get replacements. Should I upgrade the the tornado V4 pioneer or flagship, or to a gan? Even with your video i'm really confused 😕

i would get the v4 flagship but it not having iv coating is SO ANNOYING, i think you should still get that anyway as the gan 14 or 12 are still more expensive, and personally i prefer the feel of the tornado v3/4 (they are very similar) compared to gan.

if you're gonna get a gan, the 15 is apparently way better than both the 13 and 14, and even a little better than the 12. That said, i feel like its too expensive to say its a clear choice over the v4.

Tornado v4 I guess. My main was gan 11 m pro ,it was amazing cube but it use spring. I kinda like the feeling you get from maglev and core magnet. And gan 11 m pro sometimes got weird catches. Aside from that,I think gan 11 is amazing cube.(For certain turning style) But gan 11 m pro has some negative reviews. Tornado v4 on the other hand.get a lot of positive reviews.plus it's a new cube of 2024. But I haven't try that cube tho.

I know I would assume not because of the new corner magnet adjustment but I'm wondering if the edge magnets might do that now there is a video that qiyi released on the corner magnets and it doesn't look like they will be able to fall in (sorry for writing a book)

If you magnet fells then you can just put force to 2/3 side of corner then you can probably open it

Why complain over not enough changes the cube was always great and now we have some quality life upgrades and best you can do is complain more..

I get the thinking behind making the v4 a slightly sturdier/durable cube since the v3 was so good. However, from a business standpoint for QiYi, it doesn't seem smart because most people with the v3 won't upgrade to the v4. And a lot of cubers have the v3 since the cube was just so good. (But I don't know much about economics/business, so correct me if I'm wrong).

I wouldn't worry about it. MoYu went on a Releasing Spree making Frankenstein Monsters of their own cubes and people still would buy them. I think QiYi's decision to build a sturdier version of a WR cube is fine.

idk abt you but i had 2 tornado v3s all of them broken. So an improved internals and better quality of life upgrades while keeping it the way i liked it seems like the exact thing i wanted from them. Besides, all smartphone companies does something like this anyways so i really dont see a problem with their decision tbh.

Oh my, by the version 4 Cameron discovered the difference between Tornado maglev and spring adjustment systems. It was exactly the same in the v3 because in the Tornado, maglev adjustment doesn't work the same as spring compression: it doesn't compress but instead align or misalign the ring magnets. That's why it goes 1-2-3-4-5 and then back 4-3-2-1 because the magnets fully align at 5 and are the most misaligned at 1.
