Great video guys. I work for a company in north Alabama and we also sell/install/service the Amana-S-Series systems. I have watched a couple of your videos and really enjoyed the part where you did the sound difference from the Amana 2 stage vs the S Series. Here in Alabama builders think its a good idea to put builder grade condensers outside of the master bedroom window. We get more complaints about noise during defrost and customer can not sleep. That is one of my biggest selling points. I can break it down into the "decibel talk" which the customer my not be able to understand. but the part where you show the differences really paints the perfect picture. We have recently stopped using the smaller surge protectors because their range is so vast that it may not be able to catch the voltage spikes. We have swapped over to the RSH-50 VRM Kit. It is an adjustable surge protector with breaker combo that serves as a disconnect also. We set our range from 200 low to 250 high. Amana/Daikin recommended it to us and we've been using it ever since. Anyway, keep up the good work. You guys seem to be setting the bar for reputable companies in the area. Glad your not in my area. Altho, I would like to go head to head with Brett

Hey @user-ys2iq4dg1c, Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos and for your detailed feedback! It's always a pleasure to connect with fellow professionals in the industry and hear about their experiences. I completely understand the concerns you raised about noise, especially with builder-grade condensers placed so close to bedrooms. It's truly a challenge, and I'm glad our video on the sound difference between the Amana 2 stage vs the S Series helped illustrate that point to customers. Sometimes, it's those practical demonstrations that really drive the point home. It's interesting to hear about your transition to the RSH-50 VRM Kit. We're always on the lookout for ways to improve and adapt to new technologies, so it's great to have insights from colleagues in the field. We'll definitely take a closer look at the adjustable surge protector you mentioned. Lastly, your kind words about setting the bar mean a lot to us. While it sounds like we won't be crossing paths in the field anytime soon (given our geographic differences), it would indeed be a treat to have a friendly "head to head" with our lead designer Brett! We love a bit of friendly competition 😉 Thanks again for your support, and here's to continued excellence in the industry from both our ends!

Oye loco, a little help here. Curious to know much square footage does a 4 ton Amana S series cover? I'd call your company to come out and do mine but I'm pretty sure that you're not driving out to Pennsylvania just to help a customer out lol. My cousins live in Texas though so I'm glad i found a company i can refer them too. Con confidence!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting on our video! We really appreciate your support and recommendation to your cousin in Texas. While we’d love to make a trip up to Pennsylvania, we’re sure there are some great companies up there who can help you out. As for your question, a 4-ton unit typically covers between 2,200 and 2,700 square feet, especially in ZONE 2, which includes Pennsylvania. However, to get a more accurate estimate, it’s important to do a heat load calculation that considers factors like windows, rooms, and insulation. Also, make sure your ductwork is correctly sized for the necessary CFM and tonnage. For a 4-ton unit, you’ll need at least 1,600 CFM for your return and supply ducts. You can determine the correct duct size by referring to a duct chart. I hope this gives you a good starting point for properly sizing and designing your system. Thanks again for your support and for recommending us to your cousin! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out.

What’s the operational difference between a 3.5 ton Amanda S Series and the Daikin Fit?
@primehvac
@primehvac 10 ай бұрын
Hi @geneklos4210 In response to the question about the operational differences between a 3.5 ton Amana S Series and the Daikin Fit, the straightforward answer is that there are no significant operational differences between these two units. This is because both models utilize similar technologies in their design and function. Despite being from different brands, these units share comparable features in terms of efficiency, compressor technology, and design aspects. Both are likely to have similar Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (SEER), employ advanced compressor technologies for energy efficiency, and offer similar user-friendly features such as Wi-Fi connectivity and advanced filtration systems. Therefore, when choosing between the 3.5 ton Amana S Series and the Daikin Fit, the decision may come down to brand preference, pricing, or specific model variations rather than any major operational differences.

@@primehvac Does the new Goodman SD differ a lot from these two brands?
@primehvac
@primehvac 3 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting on our video. The difference between the Goodman SD, Amana S, and Daikin Fit is that the Goodman SD does not qualify for an Energy Star rating. It is an entry-level side discharge inverter system and a great option if you're in the market for such a system. The warranty is also the lowest of the three, with 10-year parts coverage. In contrast, the Daikin Fit has a 12-year compressor warranty, and the Amana S has a 99-year unit replacement warranty. As long as you have a well-qualified and highly trained company that consistently works on, sells, and maintains these types of units, you will have an awesome AC. If you can upgrade to the Amana S or Daikin Fit option, you will get a much better variety of the SD inverter system. Hope this helps!

@PRIME AC AND HEAT, Will Amana S-Series cloud service work in cell zone w/only 1 bar (at times none)?
@primehvac
@primehvac Жыл бұрын
@gailbrook Great question! The Amana Cloud Services for dealers can be accessed through data or Wi-Fi, and they are viewable on tablets, phones, or back at the office. If you're inquiring about the Amana Wi-Fi consumer app, you'll definitely need an internet connection for your home, and data on your phone will be necessary to access it. The performance will vary based on your connection strength and the specific service you're using.

Got our 2 ton outdoor cold climate unit with a 3 ton indoor unit. I noticed the fan noise was a bit much. Found the dealer edit option on the thermostat and turned down the heat fan speed on all 3 levels to 15% reduction. Now it is a lot better. Is there anything else that should be done to double check the air flow is correct?
@primehvac
@primehvac 7 ай бұрын
We would definitely recommend checking your static pressure on the system. The system should automatically recognize the blower speed and the demand and adjust accordingly. But checking your static pressure will ensure you're not putting any unnecessary strain on either the indoor or outdoor equipment.

Thank you for some great detailed videos on HVAC systems. I am South West Florida with a 2,500 sq ft ranch house. I am pro-actively replacing an 12 year old Lennox XC21 system (3 coils later). I have been quoted a 4 ton Daikin Fit Heat Pump (DZ17VSA481B/ DV48FECD14A) and a 4 ton Trane XV20i heat pump (20 Seer) with the Trane Hyperion Air Handler. Trane has a 10 year parts and labor warranty the Daikin 12 years parts and labor. The Trane system is about $2,400 more expensive. Which system do you think would be the best investment? Can the Amana S / Daikin FIT complete with the top-of-line Trane? God Bless and thank you again.

Hi @joeythedime1838! Firstly, thank you immensely for your dedicated viewership and trust in our videos. Addressing your query, without a shadow of a doubt, the Amana S Series/Daikin Fit is not just in the league but is pioneering where AC technology is heading. Here's why:Compact Design: The Daikin Fit seamlessly integrates into homes, even where space is a premium or aesthetics are crucial.Inverter Technology: This tech is a game-changer. It ensures efficient and silent operation, adapting to real-time requirements and significantly boosting energy savings.Unbeatable Warranty: While Daikin's 12-year parts and labor warranty is impressive, the Amana S Series' 99-Year Compressor Warranty is truly groundbreaking, showcasing unmatched confidence in product longevity.Cost-Effective: The performance and durability offered by Amana/Daikin come without the steep price tag, ensuring every penny is well spent.Unparalleled Quality: With Daikin's stringent commitment, you're assured of a robust system with minimized maintenance hiccups. To put it bluntly, the Amana S/Daikin Fit is not just competing; it's setting the gold standard in the industry. It's undeniably one of the best HVAC investments you can make. Just a tip: ensure your installation dealer is certified for Inverter systems and possesses in-depth training.Your faith in our content is deeply valued. Wishing you the best in your HVAC endeavors, and God Bless! 🙏🏼

Get a quote for the Amana-Series and the Daikin Fit. They are twin units and Amana should be less expensive. Do not waste your money on a Trane. I am an HVAC business owner and technician. Trane is having some issues right now.

@@joeythedime1838 Any dealer that sells Daikin can and does sell Amana. They are just being jerks. They are identical systems, like Carrier and Bryant. Same equipment but Bryant is 15% less expensive and not as much royalty money to sell their product. I wouldn’t touch the Trane. Daikin Fit all week and twice on Sunday. What kind of filtration systems did they quote you? I am a dealer in Denver. If you wanted to share that, I would tell you to request an Aprilaire, Honeywell 5l filter bot or their favorite brand. That $2400 savings can be pocketed and allow you look at a dehumidifier, which might be in the quote but that AC system, will do most of it.

another question, are you saying that you can track our AC use?
@primehvac
@primehvac 7 ай бұрын
Certainly! When it comes to accessing your Amana system through our Amana cloud services, we provide three distinct options tailored to your preferences. Firstly, you can grant us full access, allowing seamless monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. Alternatively, if you prefer to maintain tighter control over access, you can opt for the view-only option. This means we'll need to request a code each time we access your system's data, ensuring your privacy while still allowing us to assist as needed. Lastly, if you prioritize privacy above all else, you can choose to deny us access altogether. However, in such cases, we'll still require a code for remote access and troubleshooting purposes, guaranteeing security while enabling efficient assistance when required. These options empower you to tailor the level of access to your Amana system according to your preferences while ensuring proactive monitoring and timely resolution of any issues that may arise.

Excellent question! Our Amana S systems boast an impressive 10-year warranty on both parts and labor, complemented by a remarkable 99-year warranty on the compressor. During this decade-long coverage, customers won't incur any expenses as the warranty comprehensively covers all necessary work. As the industry increasingly adopts inverter-driven air conditioning and heat pump systems, repair standards are set to align with modern advancements, promising enhanced efficiency and reliability.

@primehvac
@primehvac Жыл бұрын
Certainly, @kentsmith9383! The choice between copper hairpin with aluminum fins or aluminum hairpin with aluminum fins often depends on factors like thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and cost. Copper provides better conductivity, while aluminum is more cost-effective. Both options have their merits, and the decision comes down to the specific requirements of the application.
