I absolutely enjoyed this interview. I can feel the warmth and passion of Mr. Mille. By the way, that blazer is loud but its perfect for the interview

Shocking comments! Richard is a genius and pure innovator.. Some of you are extremely rude and are flatly refusing to try and understand what he is trying to achieve..

Full of bitterness and jealousy in the comments here. People can’t simply watch a video (a free one) and appreciate the information given to them without having a whinge about every little detail.

Not sure you guys understand Wei's interviewing style. He does a FANTASTIC job of extracting long, passionate statements from who he's interviewing, in SINGLE EDITS. Which is a breathe of fresh air, when most of these blogs just blab their opinions. Rather, Wei keeps the energy up with all of those "yes" and "sure" statements. Just watch when he interviews people, I've never seen such continuous positive engagements in single edit videos. Keep it up Wei and the Revolution team, can't believe I'm just now stumbling across you guys!

Rigidity does not improve shock resistance. It is achieved through energy absorption and dissipation, so you need some kind of mechanical compliance to improve resistance to shock.

João Ribeiro yes, he did mean luxury sports watches and I have to agree with him. You can’t take a Royal Oak with you to any sport match, but you can definitely wear a RM. Just take the athletes he sponsors as example.

And to be honest, even if I could afford a RM, I probably wouldn’t buy one because it’s not my kind of watch. But you have to give the man credit for his technological development.

I appreciate it is difficult to start a watch brand and design watches that standout and create their own niche in the marketplace. So many of the RM watches seem a bit too "Liberace" or "busy" for my taste. Whilst I like unique, I don't like zany.

@bernhard85404 жыл бұрын
i love the design and thought that goes into watches not just Richards watches but alot of others i just wish that some of the designs and art would be more affordable i do understand why prices are what they are but at the same time i dont feel that only a certain bank account should be able to afford at-least something similar rather than being envious of those that can pay these prices look at rolex one of the kings of brands and yet someone whos not a millionaire can afford some type of rolex and yes a few thousands is expensive to alot of people but its still more reachable than $150,000 and yet if you want anything besides the same copied round regular watch you must pay more than alottt of people did for their houses .. again not hating i love the watches i have a decent collection of high end watches i hope to one day get a richard mille but for now ill save up haha but this comment goes for all brands that have been making high end watches not just richard

Echo the comments below, this guy is a major turn off when he's interviewing. He's doing the same with T. Stern and others, during all the interviews: "...Yes Yes Yes uhum Yes Yes..." continuously interrupting the other person. You can't conduct a proper interview like that. Nice to fly business class all over the world for such shows and hang around with the watch maisons elite every now and then, but ultimately it's real substance that counts. Oh, and RM watches are indeed way overpriced. Don't believe the marketing bs they feed you with. No watch on the wrist can safely bear the abrupt shocks exercised when a person plays tennis or golf....

Armor glass is no special material. I have watched armor glass fracture by being wiped with Windex. There are numerous plastic to crystal to whatever synthetic material Casio or Seiko and others use in place of Sapphire. Sometimes I think these High Horology players live in a vacuum as far as what there is in the world. Waiting for them to "discover" ceramics. That would be a technical achievement.

Oh and the ball hit his head, not his watch. Show me your RM after its been hit directly by that ball! If the fool fell off his horse after this then probably any watch with shock protection would have survived the fall. Utter marketing BS! Oh, and its not the first use of armoured glass, plexiglass is considered as armoured glass, just look at all the fighter and bomber planes from the second world war. Overpriced playboy and footballer watches.
