I only have one Revoslot car sadly, but I think Revoslot is the best brand out there by a mile. The way they do things is SO much better than any other brand!! They may not be the absolute fastest car on the track, but they are consistent (in every way) and very high quality.

Thanks. I use a simple laser with a wheel on the motor shaft. It is a no load test but gives me a good idea on how fast the motor is.

Great review. What size Allen key do you need for the grub screws on the wheels & gears? You mentioned a little tuning will bring this car up to speed. What sort of tuning do you do?

I just add sheet lead inside. That is about it. Just finding where it needs it helps keep the car balanced.

Looks great! I'm planning on getting my first Revoslot car - the Marcos appealed as it's something a little bit different from the usual car brands. This will be my first non Scalextric car, and as my layout is SSD, I was advised to go with a Slot it chip due to the motors higher current draw, and to insulate the underside of the metal chassis to prevent potential short circuit s from the pick up rails. Any other experience or tips with using Revoslot with Digital?

Well, I do not do digital so I don't have any. You should not have an issue with the chassis being aluminum and should have plenty of clearance.
