The Bluetooth pairings have priority ranking. Phone typically has the highest pairing, where a phone call will interrupt music or GPS instructions. GPS has priority over music, which will interrupt when directions are given and so on. Give our Gear Geeks a call to walk you through the pairing process in detail. ~Ali

Hey Nebulus9. I suggest giving our Gear Geeks a call to go into more detail than this format will allow, but here are a couple answers for you. The SRC fits snugly inside the neck roll, so it will not come in contact with inclement weather. The batteries can be replaced by Schuberth if they start to run down. The mic is not compatible with a GoPro / HD camera. All of our Gear Geeks are very familiar with the Schuberth products and are here to help. ~Ali

Unfortunately, no. The BMW bluetooth and the SRC bluetooth work on two different radio frequencies and are not compatible. The SRC unit can communicate with other Cardo units (Q2, G4, G9), as Cardo is the manufacturer of the SRC. ~Al

@FMMProductions Hey FMM, you can connect up to two bluetooth devices and then pair with up to three SRC or Cardo communicators. You can absolutely connect your mobile and iPod Touch simultaneously, but won't be able to connect a third device (i.e. GPS) via bluetooth. Hope this helps!

@QaisRAK it has the same compatibility as the G4. It should pair with most units. We know there is an issue with the Garmin Nuvi.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, even the new SRC System for the C3 Pro still uses the G4 platform. It's something that should definitely go on Schuberth's radar. I haven't heard of anyone retrofitting the SRC on their own. ~Ali

Nice video, with good info. About the 'Multi Device Pairing', how does this really work? I mean: what happens if you pair with your phone + pair with your Navigation system. Great review, after this I felt a lot more comfortable purchasing. Seeing it installed was a big sell, it would also have been nice to see the SRC paired with other coms like another SRC or Scala G4 to show the process. I started with a Scala G4 and got the SRC later, both paired with other Scala G4 but the SRC was a little trickier to bring in as a 3rd sometimes.

Personally, my top pick is the Sena SMH-10, however, if you have a Schuberth helmet, it will only take the SRC System. -CK

I love the helmet and just ordered the communication system. I am very disappointed to see that the mic is not detachable. It is massive, and I mostly want the BT for music. Maybe I will try my hand at modding it...who knows.

A couple of concerns stopped me from adding this to my C3: *Are the batteries replaceable if they were to get too old to hold a proper charge? *Is this reasonably durable? Will a good soak kill it? *There seems to be a lot of frustration out there over quiet volume and less than spot on bluetooth functionality. Have these problems been ironed out? *Can the mic be used as a line to a camera such as a Go Pro? *I do not use Windows and the firmware updates appear to be Windows only.

Can you connect more than two bluetooth devices at the same time? For example my mobile phone and my iPod Touch? I can't connect my iPod via the headphone jack as its broken but the bluetooth still works perfectly.

Bought the SRC system for my new C3Pro helmet and found problems. (1) Radio is useless on the motorway, i commute everyday between Essex to London (UK) thats 100 miles and i can only get one station at home with a lot of static..nothing on the motorway but picks up many station once in town. If your into touring then this is a big problem. (2) Unable to downloading updates from Schuberths online site via the usb. Many bikers online having the same problems. (3) Schuberts customer service v/bad.

Has anybody come up with a mod to add an antenna like the SRC ? I have the G4 and would hate to loose the range, even though the G4 boasts a 1 mile range, I've found it to be aleast half that in real life useage. If the stated range of the SRC is 1/3 that of the G4, that really concerns me.

I just ordered a C3 from your holiday sales, i already own a sena 20s but haven't been terribly impressed. I really like the low profile idea of the SRC and money is not a hug concern as i can give the sena too my girlfriend, but i would love an opinion on how the two systems compare. I found the sena 20s' speakers to be somewhat quiet and very tinny, a large portion of the reason i bought it was to listen to music on my commute but the audio quality was really not what i had hoped after reading the rave reviews. Also do the two systems pair with one another well?

+Nick Gale You could get the SRC system, or you could also swap out the stock Sena 20S speakers for some larger speakers or in-ear headphones, as the 20S has a standard 3.5mm audio jack. Personally, I'd try in-ear headphones or other speakers (e.g. Koss KSC75 or Portapros with the housings removed) before getting the SRC. As for compatibility, the Sena 20S has universal intercom pairing, so you can pair a 20S with the SRC, but you'll have slightly limited range. -DrewZilla

Paul GeorgeHi Paul, I'd say the quietness of the lid and the audio quality at 80 mph depends on your bike! Someone with a BMW RT or a Honda Goldwing may find its acceptable. For me ( BMWF800GS ) anything over 70 mph isn't conducive to listening to the audio. the sounds/music are simply competing with too much buffeting/row. However, I love the C3Pro/SRC... and listening to music has transformed otherwise boring motorways when I'm on my bike. Basically I love it .

really disappointed with mine. I had my C3 Pro a year, then enough cash to add the neck-roll. The problem for me is that the neck roll on the helmet is foam: when I changed it for the system, it's solid. I can't get the helmet on my head. Where is the big mic supposed to fit?

Yes. I have the helmet for over a year, so know how it goes on and off. My problem is simply that the neck roll on the helmet is foam: the neck roll on the communicator is solid, with a battery one side and the controls on the other. It becomes like putting shoes on that are already laced up.

I'm pretty familiar with the Cardo guys. Great hardware, bad software. Amazing when it works, frustrating as hell when it doesn't. They didn't need the G9 they just needed to fix the G4 so it worked consistently.

By itself, no, the SRC does not allow you to record your voice. I have a C3 Pro and the internals do not exactly match what is depicted in the video. My SRC collar does not fit ever so nicely as his does. The mic is in the way. Kinda bummed that it has no range, only pairs up with three other riders and if you listen to music the battery only lasts for a couple of hours. This unit cost a lot of money just like the helmet. My airflow sucks while on am on the subject.......

Michael , I don't doubt your findings ... But I have to say I love mine ! It fits exactly as described above , the quality of BT connection/range is good and my battery lasts all day. I suffer from tinnitus ( after music/gun/aviation noise induced hearing damage ) and the combination of a quiet Schubert helmet with some soothing music from my SRC is an absolute godsend.
