I love that you use so many 'common' materials that you don't have to buy in a special shop and that are affordable. It's very imaginative and motivating :)

+Hermia Thanks! Yeah, one of my main priorities was to make the costume as cheap as possible, as cosplay can be pretty expensive. The only expensive thing was the boots, which I only managed to justify because they are very practical for daily wear. :)

I thought the bag looked very good and in keeping with the rest of the costume. It's the weathering that's probably the hardest thing to get right and consistent throughout the different parts. Especially if you are assuming they all weathered for the same amount of time. I guess you could have gone out camping in the woods in the costume for a few months to weather it naturally? ;) lol Looking forward to part three! Have a lovely day :D

+Phil Hill Thanks! And that's true about the weathering, lol. I decided to just go with acrylic paint and hope for the best... Have a great day too!

Hi Mouse, I’ve been watching and rewatching this cosplay guide to help me get myself sorted for my Rey costume for Halloween this year. One question about the belt: how do you wear it on the cosplay, and did you attach the bag to it?

Thanks so much for watching! The top thinner part of the belt is the one that functions as an actual belt; it goes quite high on the waist, over the top of the rest of the costume, and holds the wrap in place. So you fasten that first (with the fastening on the left hand side), tightly as it needs to take the weight of the rest of the belt and the bag. And then you slide the bag onto the bottom thicker part of the belt, using the two slits on the back of the bag, and fasten that belt more loosely so that the bag sits low on the left hip. I hope this is helpful? I might have just tried to answer a different question to the one you actually asked... But any more questions do let me know and I'll do my best to answer them! Good luck with the costume; I'm sure it's going to be great!

Quiet as Mouse This was extremely helpful, thank you! I’m still not sure if I’ll be making the bag yet but if I decide to, I’ll pop up here with more questions. Thanks again! 😊

Thank you! It's brown PVC leatherette I got from Dunelm, for £9 a metre.
