The 2021 Ford Everest Sport is the mid-tier SUV in the local Ford Everest line up, taking up space between the base model Ford Everest Trend and the higher trim Ford Everest Titanium 4x2. It's essentially a 2021 Ford Everest Titanium without the luxury bits and goodies. The 2021 Everest Sport trades these goodies for sporty black accents and a blue interior trim. In the Filipino car review, we borrow the 2020 Ford Everest Sport for a weekend and take it up to the mountains to see how it drives and performs. It is a handsome SUV, and I love the look. The Ford Everest Sport 4x2 is meant to go up against the Toyota Fortuner G, the Mitsubishi Montero and the Nissan Terra. It has a bit more features for the price versus its competitors, especially the Isuzu MUX. The Ford Everest is based of the Ford Ranger platform, hence the interior and the ride is almost the same. It doesn't get the uprated motor of the Ranger Raptor though, but it does get the same transmission as the Ranger Wildtrak.

Since you have mentioned on the review of the FX4 that its engine (old 2.2L duatorque) is adequate for your heavy right foot, and you said that the ford everest sports engine (2.0L turbo) is a little underpowered, does this mean that the 2.2L engine is more powerful? Please elaborate. Thanks.

Several factors come into play. Curb weight, transmission tuning, and even wheel size (rotational mass) all affected the Everest's acceleration and driving feel when compared to the Ranger FX4.

If kukunin mo latest sport variant I suggest titanium kana, may price increase na kasi ngayon from 1.86m to 1.93m and nagbawas ng specs. Best choice si sport before the increase vs titatium 4x2. Pero if you have extra go for 4x4 na.
